For me, it's all about the aesthetics. The guys I game with may be happy with 5mm mdf "topographic hills", but it really grates on me. I'm ni the process of making some hex-based geomorphic terrain, which should make me much happier when gaming.

I didn't enter because I didn't have anything "competition-worthy" to submit.

Also, i've spent large sums of money trying to get some nice terrain and I was hoping to have that ready so I culd submit it, without success :(

Still don't like the THA. The whole "turrets hit it on 6+" thing is stupid and unfluffy. The 4+ regular save is good enough, IMO.

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 30 2004 Nov.,17:06)
The official explanation is that the Marine genetic engineering is keyed to male hormones and can't be done to females. And since nobody can do such engineering anymore they can't invent stuff which works on females.

So SoB are just chicks in power armour?

I confess; the only reason I'm looking forward to the Epic Chaos release is so I can convert more Silver Towers and Daemon Engines to BFG...

Hi. After I've blown large sums of cash on Forgeworld (Free shipping! OMGLOLROFLBBQ) I plan to buy some Specialist games stuff; more sentinels, 3-4 packs of stormtroopers, an entire Craftowlrd Eldar fleet etc. To exploit international pricing, I need to find the best prices worldwide. Does anyone ha...

If Pete Haines is so rabidly anti-web, and Fanatic is being rolled into GW, that doesn't bode well for the current Fanatic playtest style....

A week isn't a very long time to go without Epic....

I only play once a week, and sometimes I feel more like a game of BFG than epic. Or someone brings along the Stalingrad FoW terrain and I spend the evening shooting 88s at KVs.

Well, there's always thewarstore.net. If they can get stuff from the US to Australia in less than a week, they'll reach where you live pretty quickly.

You can see the miniatures on the web site, so you know what you're getting.
