Hi,

Not much happening on the epic front at the moment, but heres some 28mm historical stuff, napoleonic and ww2 russians for your viewing pleasure. The ww2 stuff is easy to paint and is pretty much done, while the napoleonics are much more work, but also much nicer minis.

Hi everyone, Ive been a member of this forum for many, many years, but it wasnt until the other day I actually played Epic Armageddon for the first time. Last time I actually played epic, it was 2ed! Anyway we tried it, and we all really liked it. Were playing mostly Bolt Action these days, and I th...

Hi, Interesting to follow this thread. First of all I must say that I agree that it seems unlikely that GW will fail anytime soon. Having said that... I think it is interesting to look at the competition (some have already given some good examples). I never played 40k. But I have been a fan (althoug...

Long time since my last post. This time Ive tried some early war british infantry from Warlord Games. I like the minis, but its a different approach compared to scifi/fantasy, with the battlefield dirt type look. Unsure whether to do more highlights, I guess it works OK for gaming purposes like this.

Always good to see a good discussion, Im a historian myself, but work on periods in which camo was not an issue - dust and black powder soon obscured uniform colours in practice, and so on... Slightly more on topic, L4s painting style is actually not so different from how GW themselves painted the v...

Thanks guys, I was thinking of the camo nets. Never thought of it, and its does seem odd now, since I decided to paint them as Ultramarines. Having a camo net on a bright blue tank seems slightly strange doesnt it (why paint it blue in the first place if you were gonna try to camoflage it)? Well, so...

In the process of painting up some predators, this time from the late 90-ies. I hope you know which version I mean - its the ones where there are many different variations in armament, extra armor plates, etc. Im having problems discerning what the details actually are - Im especially confused about...

Thanks! I really enjoy painting this stuff, even though I only have a few hours here and there to spare. One has to accept that the older minis had less detail and that the quality of the castings was lower, and this is especially noticable on the smallest models (compare a 1988 metal rhino with the...
