Quote: Unfortunately an Orca can't fit in a FW formation (foot) and Crisis Suits though as the Crisis' take up 2 slots. That might've changed things a bit as the Orca attacks seemed to do very well. Shuzzbutt! You are absolutely correct. My very bad. I've never transported Crisis before and t... |

Somehow I missed this one, so apologies on the delay. Quote: It gives them a planetfall deployment option which is supposed to be a focus of the list. As far as fluff, it's technologically possible if the SW do it so it seemed to me that it's a combat-doctrine issue. If the RG are using ... |

This is what I think I vaguely remember... T1 So, I'm excited. My army doesn't have a lot of good match ups as I had expected to face an army with more infantry in it. The Orks are are going all Shaka Zulu on me with the Gargant in the middle as the bulls head and two fairly mechanized horns poised ... |

Woot, we got Epic players showing up all over the place now. Epic's got some mo' goin. Anyway, Anton, one of the newest members of our group (moved down from Chicago)and I through some dice down last night and had quite the wild ride. I wanted to start playing with a Manta because I never have and I... |

I guess the other thing that I should mention is that my vision for the "flails" on the Slaughterfiends is that they will look like bronze metal tentacles, whose tips will end up kind of a glowey, power weapon green, if you are familiar with how 40K painters treat power weapons. Anyway, that's the ... |

Ok, here's a few in-flight shots of this formation. Basically, I've applied Beastial Brown in areas and I will use this as the base to build up the red. I really can't compliment O-man enough on his crabs, they are beautiful models.
Here goes...

Quote: What happened to your Tau? Oh, they're still around. I finished them (well to the extent that any army is finished) awhile back and I just added a few extra formations and some air assets to round things out. As our Epic group continues to grow (picked up a new guy this week with PAINT... |

Bravo on the Soulgrinder!...well and the rest of your awesome armies as well. I love the consistency in your armies and given all the great terrain you have available, makes your games quite the spectacle.
Alas, if Texas were not so distant... |

@Steve: I can't tell you how motivating/demoralizing your IW Defiler is. That one pushes the bar pretty far up there. Really looking forward to your pics. |

Let me guess, they've been retconned and are no longer available for the forseeable future? |

Umm...where did those beautiful dreads come from? FW or did you sculpt them?
I just love your GKs. Somehow I'm going to have to work them into SMs as a supporting detachment, but just WOW! |

Quote: What are the heads on the Slaughterfiends made from? I actually had to go back to to the pics and look at what you were referring to, because I didn't think of them as "heads" per se. LOL I wanted to easily distinguish between the Defilers (well, besides the arms) and the Slaughterfien... |

Love the yellow. I tend to go for a more faded yellow working up from something like Bubonic Brown or Snakebite Leather, but yours looks just brilliant. And I still think that the SG Eldar sculpts are the best they ever did for Epic. I just love their super heavies...it's a shame they are wasted on ... |

Quote: The different flags for the different squads is a very good idea. I was thinking of cutting all the flags off, yet your examples may inspire me to keep them now... I thought the very same thing. In fact I was getting ready to remove them when the thought popped in my head and I started... |
