IMO the old Skullhamma looks like it is just a battlewagon. Whatever the case I want my Skullhamma to be nothing short of a Battle Fortress. With that in mind I have decided to build a new one. The goal is for it to look like it might carry 8 stands of orks and 4 grots. I also want it to have the pr...

Are those FoW thingies plastic or metal?

They are metal. There are plastic MGs included with american tanks and german halftracks that use plastic instead of metal tracks.

moredakka, I glued dirt around the mostly painted minis because many were re-based. After that I painted on one good layer of thinned Citadel Foundation Calthan Brown for the ground cover and painted the ruins with Citadel Foundation Adeptus Battlegrey. Once dry I used a careful dry-brush of Citadel...

The Big Shootas are slightly modified 15mm machine guns from my Flames of War bitz box. German MG 34s and 42s specifically. Cut off stocks and added ammo can/drums. These pictures are from the FoW online store but I bet any manufacturers MGs would work. If they had not been sitting in my bits box (f...

I decided to go with Goffs, perhaps they captured a manufactorum. First pic is just red and black painted over the metallic base, second pic adds the white. The third pic the red is highlighted and the yellow has been added. The 4th pic shows them next to the Stompas and such. Details and weathering...

I sketch the skull onto the plastic. Then drill or burrow out the eyes and nostril thingy. Then I gradually cut pieces away from the plastic until I match the outline. I do it that way for 40k Orks too. A skull this size would go on a shoulder pad, deff gun, etc.

Here is a pic of the final conversions. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/NazMekMiffRukk/Conversions.jpg Now a stage by stage of the metallic layers. Black primer then Tin Bits heavy dry-brush then Boltgun Metal and Finally Mithril Silver. I'll do panels next if I can decide which clan. Goffs...

I have pics of some of Kroozas epic builds that I reference for inspiration.
It was looking at his builds that led to me building my Epic Mega Gargant and Stompas in the first place.

I do appreciate the compliment but do not deserve such a comparison.

Thanks for the compliments. All of the Symbols are free handed on with a production line method. The crux Terminatus were probably the most involved and up close may lack detail but from normal viewing distance look fine. The mind fills in the blanks. The Ultramarines symbols were far easier than th...

I threw these together tonight. They are the beginnings of the transports for a Warband. Probably Blood Axe or Deth Skull. Two battlewagons are represented by the converted Land Raiders and the looted Rhinos are Gun Wagons. At some point I would like to loot some Otterware to make proppa Battlewagon...

Funny thing about epic. It is sooo tiny that some mistakes get missed until pics are taken... too much yellow in the pics also. I was inspired by what I have seen on this site and rebased this army as a result. The wood disks I used are a bit on the large side but I feel that the area works well for...

Thanks for the welcome and all the replies. Dave, I think I will enter a few things into EpiComp. It gives me a reason to completely finish them. Lord Aaron, I used normal Stompas the basis for all my Stompas. I just made the Supa Stompa taller and tried to make it look more like the 40k Stompa. I m...
