Right, now I get the idea... The problem then becomes the specialist weapons, they will have to be conversions - not my strongest area Im afraid, but Ill have to give it a go I guess...
EDIT: Good point Jimmyz; sounds like a good solution plus I can aviod the conversion problem! |

After trying out Vallejos Cold Grey I would say I am quite happy with it - it isnt a perfect match but close enough.

| OK, thanks for those tips, I will try both Vallejo cold grey and GW Mechanicus grey. If they dont match perfectly I might be able to solve it by adding an small amount of black, white or something like that. |

| Thanks, but in fact that is the chart I was thinking of: Cold grey is supposed to be the Vallejo equivalent of codex grey, but I dont know if the match is exact enough... |

Hello
I find that it looks a bit better when painting chapter insignia and similar if you first paint the symbol in a slightly darker shade, and then sort of high light it once with a lighter shade. Idont know why, but it does look slitghtly better at least for me. |
