Gav Thorpe + Eldar = Win

That's math.

Gav Thorpe is responsible for making Shuriken Catapaults 12" and an Assault Weapon. An assault weapon in a unit called Defenders. How retarded. I will always be pissed at him for this. That being said I'll read the books cause I'm an Eldar background nut.

Any tips for a great Eldar fluff fan fiction or books?

Well, my favorite Eldar fluff stories always revolved around one individual. I'm writing a story right now about a Guardian from my Craftworld.

I believe that formations and/or units should be individually costed to the list in question. It shouldn't be a simple copy/paste job. Sure the other lists can serve as a baseline, you can't ignore the playtesting that's been done prior to that, but the real question is what are they worth to that p...

I take FirePrisms for flavor only (as I do a lot of units). If I were to hard boil a list for a tourney they wouldn't make it.

Personally, I could go either way. I understand the Diresword is the traditional weapon of the DA Exarch, but c'mon, Bladestorm ! 3x4+ FF attacks is nasty , though. And Reaper Exarchs are 83.33% as good in FF on average as a three shot Avenger Exarch. Agree. DireSwords are kinda pants in 40K. Blade...

@Malakai Their effectiveness in cover doesn't change one bit with 5+ armour. Their efficiency even goes down! (They cost more and survive the same. Except against Ignore Cover weapons of course.) Their niche is a bit reduced that's true but they are still very different from Aspects. For one they a...

Guardians are pretty brutal as is. As other posters have said keep them in cover and use them wisely. They kick out a decent amount of firepower. I believe they're balanced and costed perfectly and arguably the best Host type the Eldar have. If you were to bump their save to 5+ the Guardians would n...

However, your list looks like mine, and I play Biel-Tan mostly when Im not mucking around with Saim-Hann. There is a point when an Eldar army just looks like an Eldar army, but your "Ulthwe" list has nothing Ulthwe about it. Food for thought. When making a list, I try to take what I know ...

Not to be picky, but that will up my shipping cost as I'm in America. Still if you guys can come to an agreement and if Ulric throws in a couple of LR's for a conversion idea I have I'll do it. I have had these models for ages and don't want to be a hoarder as someone might be able to use them. Make...

I hate to change the terms of my trade, but if someone can purchase two boxes of Chaos infantry and have it sent to me they can have the models. I came across a few extra LR's and can round out my army. The Guardians I was asking for would be more expensive to buy the bases for than just buying a ne...

The next codex to come out for 40K is the Dark Eldar. By all reliable reports it is finished and at the printers. The new list is rumoured to have new armor as well as new troop types. Should the Epic list be put on hold until we can read the new fluff and see the new models?
