Put some guns in the nose and add air intakes in the wings, beefing them up slightly (also giving them a bit of the "gull wing" look.

I gotta admit that it is tempting to buy a bunch of Army Painter inks. After all you can get 12 bottles for the price of a single bottle of dip and a matt varhish spray. Making your own inks is very tempting too, due to the flexibility, but getting the materials to set it up here in Denmark would co...

Also, do you know which combo would be the equivalent of GW's Devlan Mud?

Thanks for the replies so far.

@Stingray: Les washes looks very interesting as it would allow me to tone it pretty much exactly like I want it. Do you have some pictures of the results? And if it is essentially the same as GW washes, I assume that there's no issues painting over it with acrylics?

This has been brough up before, but unfortunately the images have since disappeared. Basically I am doing a large commission, so i am looking into various quick painting techniques. The Army Painter quickshade seems to work well for lager scale stuff, but I am a bit unsure how badly it covers up ver...

Excellent work as always MoK :) It still irks me that the UK based Forumware wasn't cleaned up better from print artefacts before casting. The Aquatic mammal-ware is much nicer in that respect. But you definitely made these models look very nice! :)

Thanks. Well just throwing some weirdness out there :) It is not exactly as if there's a shortage of bipedal humanoid walkers on the market, so it might be interesting to explore other options before setteling on a final design. But I am sure Deacon will come up with something cool regardless ;)

Just a quick WIP. Bottom ones are early sketches. Top one still very unfinished, but you get the general idea. The "headdress" could be optional and possibly double as ornate missile pods of sorts. These would need to be mounted on flight stands, as the legs are not designed to carry the w...

A few more interesting images from google: What I suppose is some king of Dogu cat (robot?) http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs21/i/2007/235/d/3/FDMCR_737_Dogu_by_ZS3.jpg And a figurine of sorts: Imagine the head flattened somewhat and the arms replaced with weapons and the legs removed and replaced with ...

Couldn't help myself from doodleling a bit - I'm unable to digitize the sketch right now, But some random thoughts: Since the Slann is supposed to be as old (or older) than the Necron, it makes sense that some of their tech works the same way. Perhaps more focus on anti grav technology - even for la...
