D'oh better get cracking, can't decide what to take. At this rate I will end up having to take something 'normal'.

Personally I think lego is about as ubiquitous an item as any that exists in the developed world. And if you want it to demonstrate small size, dont see much wrong with a one'er. I think people would be better at estimating lego than sweets. I'm picturing a 6mm infantryman in a polo hole now though,...

If I'd remove anything it'd be the long range shooting. I think you could make it work with either shooting or firefight though. What stats you give the firefight units is up to you of course. There are several ways to reduce the effectiveness of firefight, like allow a larger countercharge range. Y...

I have hazy memory of there being a Yahoo group for epic I general or 3rd edition that would have been at the same time as the netepic group, did I imagine it? I also struggle to remember exactly the timeline of the various forums, from that time through to the speclist games playtesting forum (the ...

I discussed the countercharging stuff with dptdexys, MikeT, and Steve54 last week, I'm pretty sure that the EpicUK approach going forward will be that war engines are not permitted to countercharge if enemy units are in BTB contact. The intention is to follow the rules as written, even if it can le...

even if for example, the OW fire was AT and could only hit the transport war engine? It's going to be better to avoid a series of if/then statements, so if this doesn't work for people I'd say go with the "whichever formation was closer" ruling from below. I went with this as it was the a...

The one I've felt a bit jarring is the landing craft though. 4DC fearless ATSKNF 4+ RA takes quite a lot to even break it, and in turn 4 having spare formations to do it that aren't manoeuvring for objectives round the rest of the board is an ask. I've seen them last through the whole of the next tu...

I'd be up for that. And since its only part if the scenario rules any tournament could adopt it at the organisers discretion.

Looks impressive for Chris the Barbarian (Largo?) to win every game in 3 turns and not to drop a single objective. Admittedly the matchups make a big difference but the stats are eyebrow-raising :) Barbs, I know you didn't play england north or scotland but am curious if the player matchups are pret...

There are Javis and Woodland scenics mats which I had vague plans of using on a tiled board, mainly because on that case I figured paper would be easier to attach. But I have no idea if they would be hard wearing (I doubt it). I have the cloth citadel mat myself, it is really very good (if a little ...

Nice one, glad you are happy with your progress. What has happened to your poor vampire, he's had his tail bitten off?
