Glad to hear epicomp is running this year too! Will try to get something in this year. Havent a chance vs the likes of Vaaish and MoK, but I do love the event and have always enjoyed all the well painted entries from past years, so I feel obliged to make my contribution to this good cause.

I actually think the green looks good. That shade is difficult to drybrush with as I remember it, but this seems to work. Seems like the red paint isnt covering fully on the dark background however. Wow... I browsed through GWs website just now and realized that plastic sets have taken over in a big way. Metal is used more or less exclusively for special characters, all troops being plastic. It used to be possible to buy a whole army troops and all using metals only, but that options not there ...
