Thanks for all those tips! Its interesting to see how individual every painters technique is: love all those homegrown wash-recipies! I generally use washes too, and have done so on this mini aswell. But as I was trying to get a bright (bad moon!) yellow, I only used a light orange-yellow wash on it...

Hi, Ive just started painting an old Gargant I started on sometime last year and then abandoned. I soon realized that this mini is huge. And thats not all, it has so many tiny details! So as you can see, I use a very traditional technique, and it includes blacklining. So Im starting to feel that bla...

BTW, I just looked this up in WD142, first datasheets for Reavers for 2d ed: In this version the Reaver has a damage table "Carapace" in which you CAN knock the shield generator down... Only problem is there is no hit location called "Carapace"?! The carapace can be hit though, i...

Hello, This is an interesting problem that made me think a bit. In principle I agree with you, it does seem odd. However I wonder if this really is a problem in practice? Lets say you strip the shields off a warhound. Would you, if you were the attacker, really go for disablng the shield generator? ...

Long time no post! Nice to see the boards back online.

I use the GW brushes myself and feel they are good enough. In fact I tend to use the detail and fine detail brushes only. When painting Gargants I feel the need for a larger brush though :-\

That gaming board is fantastic. There are many people here who paint really well, a lot fewer who make terrain like that. If only I had the time to create something like it!

OK, a couple of very simple statements can be made from looking at some facts from the SM1 rulebook: 1. The Sons of Horus use power armor just like any other chapters (look at the artwork!) 2. jump pack marines dont seem to be uncommon. Both traitors and loyalists use them pretty much as marines do ...

I like this idea. This would focus more on whats actually working (for the particular gaming group) than whats "wrong" in the rules. Id definitly read it and wouldnt mind it being a sticky.

Cool song, VERY cool miniature. I believe the Megadeth song is about the polaris ballistic missiles that were on US nuclear submarines? Polaris is also some sort of wierd God in a Lovecraft story. Fitting combination for this piece!
