I agree with point 4. And building terrain from what you have lying about. Polystyrene hill are quick, cheap, effective and easy. Tin cans make great silos with the addition of some bits and pieces.

Do the rules not include for several races?

I thought the extra rule sets were £15 or something for 7 additional races?

Agree about the comments on them being free until recently, but at least they are supporting an older rule set

Recently purchased several of the above for use in some 28mm gaming. Anyone any experience of painting them? Built up they all look great, but I am concerned about warping and also loss of detail. Ideally I would like to spray undercoat them......

The expansions include the rules etc for additional races I think. If you search on wayland games they seem to have better info than GW

Apparently the rules are the same as the current ones used in tournaments. I have all the rules etc but must admit that I would consider other teams at this cost. Wanted a skaven team for years but refuse to pay eBay prices for it. Maybe they will be nice to the community with the new epic...... hah...

And I hate to say it, I think it looks good and well priced. I await abuse.

Add on teams cheap too. I can finally get a skaven team with out the massive eBay prices

Do you know the force your opponent will be fielding? Not the exact list as such, just the race?

Interesting thread. I have not played in any tournaments but we do regularly use the tournament scenario and initially we did try and make the gamey high activation count type forces. However after a few games this became dull. And we now tend to field what we like and just have fun with it. And sur...

We didnt play with BA mini's. We used 1/72 stuff (20mm) as it cheaper to get. Which I think helped a bit as it wasnt as "chunky" as the 28mm stuff. Plus it made the combat range feel a bit better. But the dice bag was the winner for me. First turn it was relatively even draws. Second my op...

Played my first game of Bolt action at the weekend. A break from the 6mm stuff. I must say I am pretty impressed. It was the first edition (2nd on its way) 1000 point game of a simple attack and defend scenario.

Anyone else tried it? if so whats your thoughts?
