So I looted a plastic Contemptor and an old school sentinal. I'm really happy with the "Kontempter Kan" but the Sentinal Kan is a bit silly with its grot driver and Loota passenger. I'll post better pictures later when they are painted. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/NazMekMiffRu...

I use Pine-Sol. It works on metal and plastic and if the mini is left in a bath of it long enough it will take off superglue as well. The metal skullhamma in my orky thread had at least five coats of enamel on it and it stripped ok. Also, you can use a fine brass brush to scrub pewterl minis to remo...

Instead of Taun Tauns the Orks have Squig Squigs. I like it.

Thanks for all the compliments. Participating on such a great forum has really motivated me. This update is pretty big. I've reviewed my previously finished minis and it occured to me that I should have consulted an army list before converting and painting minis. I've decided to use Net Epic organiz...

I managed to nearly finish building the Deff Dreds which ended up a bit large. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/NazMekMiffRukk/IMG_2437.jpg http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/NazMekMiffRukk/IMG_2438.jpg Klaws for these are tomorrows project. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/Naz...

Here is my progress. The legs did not take as long as I thought they would and I'm happy with the scale. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/NazMekMiffRukk/IMG_2434.jpg Now I need to make the rest of the feet. I have only the one strip of 3 pairs made. The plan is to make 3 more strips. All the...

instead of fingertips, do you actually have very tiny tweezers? I use the tip of my x-acto knife to place most of the parts. That, or tweezers. This scale is too fiddly for fingertips. Besides, the band-aids on my thumbs get in the way. :) What Infantry will you be using? Standard plastic minis unt...

I managed to get the gunz figured out. If I add any finishing touches it will be after they get glued to the Kanz. I tried to avoid repetition. The top row are the larger primary (upper) guns for the Deff Dreds the rest of the smaller gunz will be Deff secondary (lower) or be for Killa Kanz. http://...

Thanks Ghost. If I tried to use the same methods for anything other than orks my results would uh.... suck :) . When I mod imperials or the like I use straight edges and a micrometer as well as line up my materials and reference before starting. With orks I can just hold the plastic against the mini...

The craft store was sold out of the wooden bases I use for Infantry so making Ork stands will have to wait. So I picked up some plastic cement and x-acto blades for whatever came next. I have been wanting to do Killa Kanz and Deff Dreds for a while but the Idea of scratch building them was daunting....
