| To expand on that. The player who's firing at a formation with WEs and non-WEs declares which attacks are being directed against WEs or not. E.g. | Thanks Apoc. I ended up glazing but also trying to keep it away from the recesses. Work continues on the shields. I finished them for the Principes and Extraordinarii this week. | The best method is what makes you the happiest with regards to the time you put in and the end result. Painting the smaller scales uses the same techniques as the bigger scales. Amp up the contrast (brighter highlights/darker shadows) is really my only piece of advice. |

| I spent this week cleaning, priming and glueing shields on the Triarii, Principes and Extraordinarii. I also painted up the Triarii's shields. I glazed one in the recesses to tone down the shading, not sure if I like it yet. Thoughts? I don't know why I spent so much time on the figures, the shields... |
