Sharp Stunties, and I have loads of those watercolour pencils, I'm going to give that a go. Thanks Use light colors for high contrast. Here is an article with pictures where someone did it on a larger model. It looks really good! http://airbrushandanalog.blogspot.com/2015/12/cheat-edge-highlights.h...

Those are lovely!

You have a great eye for contrast; your recess and edge tones are perfect.

Great work on the bikes, And cheers for the intresting tip on the highlights as said by others never heard of that before and will have to give it a bash at some point ;) Thanks Epic! Yes, try it out. It is amazing how quickly you can get a good result with the pencils. I wouldn't use the technique...

Yeah that's a cool technique. Lots of traction with it on the Star War Armada crowd too so it's nice to see it here as well. It's way crisp on those bikers. Awesome work. Thank you! I can see how this technique would pair with star ships. Anything with hard edges works well with the watercolor penc...

Nice trick; one I actually hadn't heart of. How does it take to the wear and tear of gaming? It holds up like a weathering powder or other dry pigment would: tt will stay as long as it is not touched. To fix it in place you must varnish shortly after you apply it. In some ways this is actually a go...

Here is a quick picture of some Squat Bikers. You can see that I've just begun to edge highlight them; the ones on the left have them, the ones on the right are patiently awaiting their turn. I used a watercolor pencil which is a quick, sneaky way to get decent lines down on model edges. http://i729...

Did you have any issues with those models? Moulding lines? Details good? They look great in a nice grey as you have them, though I'm going to have to make mine match the hold's primary colours. Now if only I could make a start on some good hex bases. Yes, STILL looking. Mold lines: the front cannon...
