A guy locally uses jumpers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumper_%28computing%29) which any electronics store should have. At 6mm scale they look great as box launchers.

Last weekend the Christchurch Cavaliers hosted Conquest 2009, one of the larger wargaming tournaments in New Zealand.
