I know next to nothing about the Warhammer world except that High Elves, Dwarves, and Pirates (any type, any time) are cool :P No clue how I could help, but it could be fun to play on the high seas instead of in space. K.I.S.S. Keep special rules limited to at most half of the races, and keep ... |

Quote (CyberShadow @ 19 May 2006 (16:03))A couple of rules: - Please do not post stats, rules or any other text which was sent as an entry to the competition. I should remind you all that SG now own the copyright for these entries, and I hope that they will show them and make the best use out of the... |

Turrets reduce torpedo salvoes by one point of strength, so larger salvoes are better to deal damage, but are easier for your opponent to intercept. I'm pretty sure multiple fires will only deal one point of damage per turn, regardless of how many are actually burning (but they will continue to do d... |

I think latticeships would most likely be best built using fairly narrow plastic rods (clear, tinted like Necron weapons in 40K, or solid to be painted). I think a diameter of 2-3mm would likely be best for larger ships (possibly with larger diameters for the core of the ship). For escor... |

I'm with Xisor, the Dark Eldar giving a slave to a Slaneesh daemon prince is wrong AFAIK. Also, why would a DE Wyche train a SLAVE to fight? Especially if the Wyche knew that the slave was going to be given to SLANEESH for some strange reason. The Inquisitor ship is sort of interesting f... |

Just a random thought - that ship looks like it'd be very tough. What if instead of making it a normal CL that's a fast cruiser (aka the Slaughter in the Chaos fleet), it was slower, had better shields than most CLs, and a good amount of weapons? More of a defence than a scouting ship. A... |

I think SG would be stupid not to allow Warp Rift to publish the "losing" ships if their authors so desire (a note in the blog would be nice to let people who dont check the forum know too) - if there is a problem I'm guessing it'll be from the lawyers. Did we ever see more of the BFG scenarios from... |

My ship's fluff had got rewritten about five times. The first one had a story that ended up being way too long (and sort of shitty ) so got deleted. Then I went into the history of the area a bit too much and ignored the ship . Two down. I rewrote a couple more times and was ... |

I'm glad the photo part is optional, I can't find anyone with a digital camera To make up for the lack of a picture of my ship, I decided to draw it in paint At best it looks half-decent, at worst it should be worth a laugh. Thanks for the note about the hyphen d'Artagnan, if I even realized t... |

I still need to build my ship, paint it, hopefully find a digital camera, and redo a bunch of the fluff. I have a feeling I won't get it done since I also need to work on a project or two for college LOL |

The way I see it, the majority of Imperial atmospheric craft have a limited ability to operate in space, as in enough to dock on a Dictator in orbit and not much more. The space craft are larger as they require more systems and are more complex and have vastly different requirements from atmos... |

Quote (The_Real_Chris @ 13 Dec. 2005 (08:25))I have an excellent record in 'marine missions' winning over 2/3's of my battles against Imperials and Chaos. Do I wreck their fleet? Nope, not often, but I win the game often with no dead cap ships (they disengage when near death). At least there's one p... |

The ghostships are almost 100% things that make them worse than normal (being able to fail a ghostship's command check and continue with "normal" ships the only good thing). Since crippling is noted to normally be due to crew casualties and not damage to the ship, perhaps they should benefit from no... |

Seer councils are an Ulthwe thing since they have so many seers (IIRC). Also, I don't think it's likely for anyone to take multiple seer councils, and chances are they will normally be taken after an admiral is anyways, unless they prove excessively powerful. IMO decent ghostships and Spiritse... |

No ship can get vampires and boarding torpedoes (except maybe the Flame?). I'd saya mandatory +15 upgrade for aspect warriors and A-boats/boarding torps. |
