Hi Dave, I think you've done a great job of trying to re create the old squat list in the Armageddon version of Epic. So far, the only things I can't seem to find are the old Squat Iron Breaker Squadron, which is 9 stands of warriors with an attached Warlord stand, and two berserker units of five be... |

Sorry Epical, I haven't looked in this thread for a while.
Yes, you've got it right. That is the way they are organized, at least according to 2nd edition Epic Titan Legions. |

It looks like something the Imperium would use to make an Imperator titan. |

Well, I've just looked in my old Epic Space Marine/titan Legions 2nd edition boxed sets and found all the cards for the Knights. The cards represent a typical Knight force according to what the rules for them say. The rules for the knights in 2nd edition are found in the Titan Legions game in the Co... |

Well, my answer isn't "make sure it doesn't happen." Instead, my answer is "make sure it doesn't happen for no good reason, nor happen in the first turn of the game, unless caused by enemy action." Give people the ability to at least play their models. If that means you only get ... |

Well, lets think about that for a minute. What happened in Magic the Gathering, when the decks showed up that made it so the guy sitting across from you never gets a turn because you've done a combination of cards that makes it so he can do absolutely nothing? So you are able to sit there and play y... |

But I don't think the threat of it is enough to unnerve super human killing machines like Space Marines. Nor is it enough to unnerve Eldar who think everyone in the galaxy is beneath them in just about every way, thus, no fear. And it certainly doesn't apply to things like Tyranids. (And even though... |

Ha! Different strokes for different folks! Must admit an elegant suppression/pinning mechanic is one of the first things i look for in a game system. Its the think that i liked most about Epic40k and i still think this aspect is better in 3rd as it takes account of weight of fire and degrades slowl... |

having been fired upon ... repeatedly, I can say that in my personal opinion the activation and blast marker mechanics were an insanely elegant method of representing battlefield attrition, combat effectiveness, and suppression without bogging down a game at this scale with minutiae. I'm sure CAL, ... |

I think just the opposite for a plethora of reasons. Epic 40k was the best for getting miniatures in the core game box, yes, but in my opinion it was the WORST with a capital W versions of Epic that was ever produced. And I honestly don't think Epic Armageddon was quite as good as SM2/TL either. Som... |

@ Mordoten: Lol, Epic was the first wargame I ever played. I started back in 1995 and have been a fanatic about it ever since. I've collected so many miniatures over the years that I can field almost anything for Epic. Gaming to me is a lifestyle so I'm more than willing to move somewhere that has b... |
