I went with depends. While i do have 3 armies being painted for me currently they are not epic (6mm German and Russian ww2 and warmaster empire (3000+ points)). But i did this for a trade. one semi-newish pc and i get all that painted. Fair trade IMHO. As for actually paying hard cash..... i dunno i...

(firestorm40k @ Jan. 16 2007,07:45)QUOTEI assume you'd not be using this army in 3k point tourney settings? I'd give it a bash 3 co of russ ~ 1950pts 1 co of Artillery ~ 650pts 1 Mech company ~ 400pts ok so its only 5 activations but the russes have really good survivability and can take a hell of ...

(ruiza97 @ Jan. 09 2007,15:23)QUOTEI think it has more to do with Australia as OZ has access to no SG from OZ mail order.  Thus, supply is scare, demand is great, price jumps up. Um, no that is not the case ~ supply is not as scarce as you would believe there is always someone dumping epic gea...

In the new Warmaster ancient armies book you now have the option of basing your phalanx on the long edge rather than the short 'shock' edge. The rules indicate that you get the same number of attacks in this formation as you would in the shock formation. But i've added the attacks in the way describ...

hmm forgot to track this topic.. oh well nevermind. Having caught up i've a question - if a unit exiting the webway fails its activation it has to move out of the webway - or not? can it stay in the webway by taking a faux fire or regroup option instead? I ask as these are options available to the e...

QUOTE
Under tournament rules the Eldar may only deploy from the Webway, not back in.

Well Ok then he would have had to just take the russes down the throat then - good to know.

I agree it would make an interesting scenario.

As the title and description says can the eldar player move forces that have appeared form a webway portal (storm serpent in this case) back into the webway for redeployment the next turn. This came up in a game last night - the rules only talk about deploying from the portals not reentering them bu...

We usually take about 3-5 hours to play 6000 points. But we refer to the rule book often. bad memories or not enough games - its one of the two and we have a tendancy to chat as well while playing

20 -30 russes in a formation :D my opponents wont like it but i do. how many shots is that  :p

(Markconz @ Nov. 21 2006,04:56)QUOTEThe trouble is that it also upsets the points balances  - footsluggers become much less useful in this sort of game than mechanised forces.  I think the best idea at this level of game is to just go for a straight meatgrinder -  count victory point...

Well we try and play on a 8x4 size table - when we can. but usually we play on the standard 6x4due to space restrictions (especially in my hovel of a home). Sounds like we should be given netepic a looksee. i have the rules somewhere that i downloaded earlier. does anyone know where i can find the a...
