I haven't been able to play with or against necrons but I think you guys may be a little too close. 4.2 seems to really have brought the necrons in line. They are expensive and a lot of the formations don't exactly wow or pay through the nose for it if they do. I would tone destroyers down a little(... |

I struggle to justify taking them over leman russ at the moment. Maybe try them at 100pts? I believe this is too low but i'm not sure by how much. If other 25pt options will be added then perhaps 125 would be a good price for them? |

I don't know that i'd still use them if they were toned down significantly. They are not exactly overpowered now- just nasty. Maybe lose the armour save but other than that I think any other change would need to be accompanied with a price cut. |

I think that lascannons are slightly better however I don't know if they're good enough to justify paying points for them.
Although I like the idea of lascannon sentinels I don't have a problem with the current rules.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

Thunderbolts are great as it is. The small formation size is justified by the background that the navy took a severe pounding early on in the battle for Armageddon. Also from a rules point of view a larger formation would make them extremely powerful and considering you'd presumably get four for the... |

(Evil and Chaos @ Jun. 19 2007,23:22)QUOTE (Soren @ Jun. 19 2007,19:44)QUOTEI don?t know if this was already stated here, but why are 6 (+1) Salamander Scout 400 when I can get 3 of them for 100. Even if they are a company, for only 100 more I get a SHT-company. It's a mistake. so waht are the thou... |

(Reaver @ Jun. 15 2007,16:03)QUOTEJust to get back to the Stormtroopers / Vultures thing for a moment. I can understand the whole combined arms thing, but given they aren't part of an Armoured Regiment it seems wrong to me to put them in the main list. So how about making them a choice from the 1/3... |

I'd quite like to do some fiction, probably in the form of a short story(possibly plural).
Is that something you guys might be interested in? |

More thoughts on the thunderer- make it FF5+. This could be justified by it losing sponsons and would make their short range more of a disadvantage. I think this might actually tip things for me although with reinforced armour they would still be quite nasty in an assault. My other idea would just b... |

QUOTEI think it's more the case that the Salamander Company is quite overpriced. Trust me, from my playtests I've found that Thunderers especially are pretty rubbish. Although they only have one role it is one that is fairly easy to get the most out of. I agree that the salamanders are overpriced b... |

Hi there. I have to say that both the thunderer and the demolisher still seem a little underpriced especially when compared to the salamander company. The conquerer also still needs something other than 5cm movement on a regular russ. I don't like the idea of the increased flexibility of sponson opt... |

Oh and I really like the look of the stormhammer as close support super heavy. Maybe gone a bit far with the background justification. I'm just picturing the crew of the stormhammer sneaking around the armoury at night grabbing whatever they can carry and and running off. There would be some set of ... |

At a glance: The executioner is missing reinforced armour. Is this deliberate? I quite like the destroyer and don't feel that it is overpowered for the simple reason that it is hard to find a formation for it. It's range and sniper ability may be a bit wasted in a tank co and will drive the price up... |
