I tried some contrast on my 6mm prints quickly last night - seems to me the issue is that the detail is much shallower, so you don't get as much 'pooling' (which provides the 'contrast') Not sure I can embed IG posts, but here's some pics: https://www.instagram.com/p/By0z8p7H406/?utm_source=ig_web_c... |

Heya folks, I've been meaning to post these over here for a while. I mostly paint 15mm and I love GZG - I was really inspired by the newer Moongrunt range, but that felt like project to do in 6mm - so a few hours designing and tinkering, a few hours printing and we're well on the way! My first desin... |

Mega! I'm stoked for this 3mm range - I've been thinking for a while of doing something in 3mm with big element bases (like a sci-fi version of Impetus almost), whole Ppatoons to a base, so these will be perfect! |

Hi All, Read this thread this morning - bought some Clean Spirit from Wilkos at lunch, got home at 6 and popped some 28s that I've had in acetone on and off for months in, just given them a toothbrush scrub and they're 90% clean, I'll leave them now until the weekend and they'll be perfect - cheers ... |

Thanks both - Strike Legion was available for 2.49 so I've downloaded that and I'll see what it's saying. |

Hiya all, What's the best ruleset for 3-5 tank type battles that has a fair bit of chrome (without being silly complex). I've been playing games with Horizon Wars (which I love) but I'd like to scale down a wee bit more and have a bit more depth in unit design and rules - I want it to matter that ta... |

Just need to put the finishing touches to my first force:
This is a 21P force - more than I'll need I reckon (I'll mostly be gaming ~15P) |

Cheers. The way I see my mod is that communication is happening everywhere - any order and any initiative action is happening because of communication. What the command range now does is create a sense that a CO has control of his nearby battle line - wither issuing orders, shouting, psychic or simp... |

Hi all, As per my previous topic I've been looking for a good ruleset for ages to play 10-20 element games, with infantry based on FoW bases with between 3-1 men (depending on how tough they are and army organisation). The men and vehicles are treated 1:1. I got FWC at the end of last week and it's ... |

Hi all, Well, my copy arrived and I'm really impressed - however, I do think the abstraction works much much better in 6mm than for the ideas I had. That was, until I read the 'skirmish' rules to do with command, and it all clicked in to place. So now I use the main stat your own unit rules but with... |

^OK cheers - I've been asking this question a lot recently around various places as it's a game size not well catered to, if you're dealing with stands of infantry, as opposed to the upper end of 'skirmish' games. I've not heard of these before so worth a look. Surprisingly I really enjoyed Nordic W... |

Hi all, I'm currently looking for a ruleset to play company sized games with that have a bit of tactical depth - I'm basing infantry in fireteams of 3 (or 2 for high tech/well protected adn even 1's for Power Armour types) plus a few support vehicles. I'm using Flames of War style bases, but with on... |

That's great - thanks for being so succinct. It sounds like it might be a little gritty for my taste - I like the abstraction of effect rather than process... I'm happy to know a laser killed a trooper rather than an autoblaster if the result is the same. Having said that, you're right - I'll get th... |

Thanks - no I haven't. I really wanted to read some reviews of Strile Legion but I'm struggling to find any - can anyone sum up Strike Legion succinctly for me? |

Hi all, Long time listener, first time caller. I believe I'm stumbling in to the great uninhabited plane of Sci-Fi rules - Company Level. I've been looking for a game that uses stands of infantry and individual vehicles with around 10-20 elements on the table but still allows a degree of combined ar... |
