OK guys I'm getting there... * Support cards are now ?half height? like the old Space Marine cards were * More cards, nearly done the standard Eldar list (phew!) * Standardized the main color bars, so that they are all purple (for Eldar), but with a slightly di... |

(Dwarf Supreme @ May 10 2007,15:43)QUOTEOne problem with color coding what type of card it is, is that each army is color coded, red for Space Marines, blue for IG, green for Orks, etc. Ahhh that's right my hazy memories are returning , so if we were going for that "old school" SM2 look and I'm gue... |

I was thinking of making the support cards half height. The colour of the title bar is the current way of telling the cards apart; red = company, green = support, blue = special (maybe purple for free or unique cards - I hadn't got that far) One thing that has stopped me doing the support cards half... |

Sorry I forgot to post the new link! I've deleted the old file, I'll keep a work in progress copy on this page on my blog http://www.bencoleman.co.uk/netepic/ The latest version is on there, I've added a load more cards, and I'm trying a new card header, this time without a gradient to see how it wo... |

Well I've completed them! here's a few pictures

More pictures here
I'm pretty happy with them, seeing as they are the first epic minis I've painted in about 15 years! , but the basing took up far too much time, hopefully the new bases won't be as time consuming!

Ok, thanks for the all the comments and feedback guys ? like an idiot I hadn?t considered the legal implications of pinching a load of GW images, silly me! So here is another draft of the same cards but I?ve made a load of changes: ? Now using silhouettes instead of photo?s, cards now l... |

Primarch - Wow I wasn't expecting a job offer! ;) I'd love to help but don't want to make any promises/commitments I can't keep - I'll message you and we can take it from there. zap123 - I tried using silhouettes on the cards like the old SM2 style ones, but found I ran into some issues: - I couldn'... |

Hi,
I've been working on some new Eldar army cards compatible with the v5 army list. I've only done a sub-set of the company, special & support cards to see what they come out like.
UPDATE: latest copy is here - http://www.bencoleman.co.uk/netepic/
All comments welcome.

Not sure if this is correct thread for this, I've been reading the v5 Eldar army list and there are some inconsistencies in the naming of the army cards, where the company card refers to squads/stands/detachments etc. For example: Falcon Host company card refers to 3 Falcon detachments, how many fal... |

Thanks for the replies guys, I think the new bases are going to be the way to go. Esp considering what zap123 said about the newer models not fitting in the old bases. I can see how much easier they will be to paint in those bases too. The only problem is I now have 18 stands of Eldar guardians in t... |

So that's two good reasons to go for the strip bases, hmmmmm... That's a shame coz I think they look awful. Maybe I'll get used to them but as a old Space Marine gamer from years ago - they just look "wrong" to me! |

Hmmm that's a good solution but I think painting them on the square bases would be a real pain. I was painting these on the sprue.

I've recently started painting up some old Epic Eldar I had around (these are the old skool ones with square bases). I spray undercoated them with GW Skull White (coz they are Biel Tan). Now when I come to fit them in the bases the undercoat has made them too big for the (already tiny) hole in the b... |

Back when I was playing, the non-specialist games were bigger than 40K and WHFB, no-one played 40k (1st edition rules were dire!) and Space Marine, Space Hulk were the main games. Ahh the good old days?
Oh well ebay here I come!

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll buy some minis and worry about what ruleset later on, the only slight problem that remains is... finding some players! I'm in South-East London, UK |
