I have returned to Epic after a 10 year hiatus, and the Epic bug has bitten me hard. Sadly, I don't know of any Epic players within 60 miles of me. I had Friday off, so I decided to play a little solitaire against myself at a local game store. I remember playing solo at this store ages ago, but they... |

I'm running Minigeddon at local game-a-thons[1] and at the local gaming convention in September[2] and here's the two Ork armies I've designed for newbies to use. They're not meant to be *really* competative; they're meant to (a) be easy for newbies to play with and against and (b) use models that I... |

This post is to announce that I will be running a slot of Epic Minigeddon[1] at the July 9th Game-a-Thon[2] hosted by the Schenectady Wargamers Association[3]. I am hoping to teach Epic Armageddon to beginning players, so I've prepared a number of armies that I will be lending out. Experienced playe... |

I don't know about you guys, but I love my Steel Legion tank company... and I've include Demolishers with them to make the formation even bigger! This weekend I played two games (one vs. Ghazgkhull Orks, one vs. Biel-Tan Eldar) which showed exactly how hard they are to kill! I was overconfident agai... |

OK, pictures are up on Picasa.
Here's a good shot of Tyranids vs Chaos in the desert:

Here's a good shot of my Orks about to get completely mauled by an air-assault-delivered Terminator squad reinforced with Dreadnoughts. NEVER INTERMINGLE!!!

How about that! My browser still remembered my password from ~3.5 years ago! Hello all! I'd like to add my thanks to Bill for organizing this game day and inviting me. I'd also like to thank Studdering Dave for getting us such great space. The Portal was AWESOME. I got ... |

(snotgun @ Nov. 09 2006,07:59)QUOTE So far, I am probably further away from having a real Epic scale Monolith in my hands than any of you. So far, it's all just virtual stuff on a virtual picture. ? ? You mean that the attached picture is pure CGI!?! ?With the out of focus bits, photo realism, and ... |

I'd also like to point out that technically, the Oddboy upgrade can't be applied to a Flakwagon... just to a Gunwagon (or a Big Gunz stand, or a Gunfortress), and that it replaces the Big Gun. ?It isn't a big deal to have 11 Flakwagons, and one Gunwagon with Oddboy upgrade. ?It's a good idea and I'm... |

(Enderel @ Nov. 07 2006,07:36)QUOTEHi DS, they can't do any close ups as they have packaged them up already.. So no additional photo's I'm afraid. You may want to take a look at MegaMek. ?It's a network-enabled, multiplayer implementation of the Classic BattleTech rules written in Java, and distributed under the GNU GPL (which actively encourages sharing the game). ?It's pretty surprising how much easier company-sized battles go, when the comp... |

Well, one of the complaints about the Feral Orks is being able to give just about every formation a 45 cm MW 5+ attack. |

I'd be willing to commit to $8 for each of the Squat superheavies and $6 for the Overlord airships. |

(studderingdave @ Nov. 02 2006,15:01)QUOTE 1. warbands. say i have a basic warband (i play orks), if i want to add extra stuff to it, say more boyz, at +25, is that +25 per STAND? so a stand of 5 boyz is 25 points. Just don't forget that the 25 points for the Boyz includes an optional Grot stand! ?... |

If you're an agressive player, please please consider a Warlock titan with a Power Fist; 11 FF attacks (2 TKd3) with a 25 cm move, Commander, and Inspiring. It's expensive, and prevents you from taking any airpower (unless you're playing over 3000 points), but I think it fits in perfectly with... |
