Bab-5 while simple,is closer in playing style to Full Thrust 2 than it is to BFG.Does anyone else really hate those shadow ships? My favourite ship class is the Earthforce Hyperion heavy cruiser, while not the most powerful by far,she can really take it as well as dishing it out. My favourite ship of... |

We played Aeronef in a space setting as in the bumf in Full Thrust, 'It was hell Caruthers, six weeks in space without a trouser press' kind of theme. It does work well as an alternative to BFG,with a far better turn mode available to all ship classes. You can use your BFG fleets in this system to good... |

I would just like to know what your favourite games system is for starship combat?I've been wargaming now for over 30 years,so I've seen a lot of combat systems in that time.My personal favouries in that time have been:-Full Thrust,Aeronef,Star Trek Combat Simulator,BFG,and of course the classic Sta... |

Very nice paint jobs there, the only criticism I can see,is that your table was too open, not enough cover & too many long fire corridors.Try re-fighting the game using a Mordheim style layout, with very narrow streets & buildings virtually on top of one another.Believe me,it gives a much harder game &... |

The gun looked like a twin bofors 40mm cannon not what one could call hi-tech,still for a crew of quasi-pirate types not a bad deal.Since they always seem to be one step away from the breakers yard, thats a pretty mean gun.The film aint half bad, never saw the show........wheres the so called humour t... |

Mojarn Piett, try Irregular Miniatures for Hellfire,he may have some copies left. The game system is scenario driven not points driven. This allows you to field a crack unit(vastly outnumbered)to hold a vital objective against superior odds.Your crack unit will have better overall morale than the attac... |

Hi,if you are wanting sqd level & above, why not try the Hellfire rules by Jim Webster?OK,so he is of the PBI school of the down & dirty lo-tech side, but a very good set of 6mm rules. If however you want the hi-tech side, try Iron Cow by Steve Blease, published by Wessex Games.Quick and simple, easier &s... |
