"It has been our custom to equip our trading partners with an exchange unit." -A new/primative spacefaring race has been contacted. Trade in raw materials in exchange for simple technology will prove greatly profitable. Gain X additional repair points per turn. These points require the "Exchange uni... |

Ya, the "Strategic Command" thing is a problem with the system, but I can't think of a better way to do it. A prescripted campaign isn't all that fun unless you construct a massive mission tree for it, which is more trouble than it's probably worth. Still, these ideas here (and any other ideas I thr... |

Ok, here's some idea's I've come up with. We have a collection of star systems, connected by Warp Routes. Each star system may have one or several worlds, and possibly other interesting celestial bodies. The worlds have a value representing their possible contribution to the war effort. Ex: Three sy... |

Cyber, I would like to note that the cover picture is not mine, and should not be credited to me. It is Deionarra's from the Relic Forums, and her HW2-BFG mod. The relevant thread is in this link Here. I merely linked her pictures to here. |

Well, if you wanted to make it as available as possible, I'd say go with these sides: Imperium (all kinds), Eldar, Tau vs. Chaos, Orks, Tyranids, Necrons Though a more accurate one would exclude the nids. As for scope... who cares? Multiple thousands of BFG points would already put it around the imp... |

Very nice. The Fra'al ships, though, don't seem... Fra'alish to me. With the regeneration ability and the general high-energy weapons would seem to indicate a more elegant ship. Your models would seem to go better with a more primative race. That said, they look amazing. |

Well, If I were using the BFG rules to play out a game of Star Wars, I'd probably come up with this for Impstars: Imperial Star Destroyer: Battleship/12 15cm 45* 4 Shields 1 Turret 6+ Armor Upper Surface Turbolaser Batteries: S8 60cm L/F/R Port Turbolaser Batteries: S6 ... |

I don't have any Star Trek Micro-Machines, unfortunately, but I do have alot of Star Wars ones.... Imperial Star Destroyer: (As an escort, since it is 1.2 km long) Escort/1 20cm 45* 2 Shields 1 Turret 6+ Armor Turbolaser Batteries: S4 30cm LFR (WBs) Ventral Hangars: S1 TIEs(fighters), TIE Bomb... |

The problem is its not just weapon batteries that use armor to calculate hits. The whole idea was that lesser weapons flat out can't harm it (and trying to kill a Ranx Dreadnought in game really, really reflects that, I only killed one and that was after I led it near a station with rapid-fire antim... |

I like the idea of crits though, it seems more likely. Perhaps this: Ships get one attack die per point of boarding value (which is derived from some arcane system I don't feel like coming up with). On a roll of a 4+, they inflict damage. Roll 2D6-2, inflict that critical hit. In addition, every thr... |

Well, as to how boarding parties score that many hits, the reasons are two-fold. 1) Hits =!= hull integrity. Hits == Crew 2) They aren't boarding parties per se. It's more like half the crew. So if we can say there are approximately 1000 people per hit (think its around there, would love to he... |

One other note: They should not drift in a random direction. Realistically you would have to keep in mind the direction, speed, and mass of each vessel, but since thats a pain, I would say this: If ships are locked in combat, they drift 2d6 cm each movement phase in the direction the ship that would... |

I was recently directed to a free game called "Transcendence." In addition to being a time-devourer par excellance, it has some interesting alien species represented by only a few ships. Perfect for a non-aligned race. Here is one of them... Ranx Dreadnought: Type/Hits: Battleship/10 Speed: 15cm Tur... |

I likey the flak, but if these type of ships were ever combined with conventionally armed vessels, they would butcher ships that rely on shields, as one of these flak cruisers automatically downs battleship-grade shields. This mechanic is more complex, but it does tone down the power against starshi... |
