QUOTEVery cool genestealer, looks like the old ones in lead for Space Hulk 1st edition. Thanks - he's actually based on the Inquisitor Scale Genestealer, which is indeed closer in design to the old ones but with additional detail. @Evil and Chaos: If you want to try and cast the Stealer, I can send...

Hi, QUOTEHowever to make metal casts the miniatures need to be 100% miliput or greenstuff AFAIK. Any plastic parts will not survive the mould making proces and destroy both miniature and mould Yes, I believe we already touched upon this point a few years ago. That would indeed be a problem, since al...

Hi,

pics used to be up here but I they seem to have gone the way of the dodo during my hiatus from these boards.

Luckily I still have the final collage of it saved, so I'm posting that one again here.

Cheers,

Drasannar

Hi,

Great work, I must say!

No, the Termagants are only in the picture for a size comparison... I don't dare attempt the plastic nid infantry.

You would not by any chance be interested in trying your hand at casting a multipart epic genestealer I made some time ago?

Cheers,

Drasannar

Hi, Like the Genestealer, this one too is a finished piece from the old WIP collage. He is mostly based on the Inquisitor scale Eldar Ranger/Pirate. The major difference is the head. I didn't like the original head (mostly bald with a ponytail) but I wanted to try my hand at an Eldar face, so I didn...

Quote Drasannar, would it be easier to cast in resin like FW than metal? I don't know, since I only have personal experience with resin, not with any kind of metal. However, Warmaster Nice's arguments are rather logical I think. Particularly the part regarding better ?preservation of detail in resin...

am having difficulty desiding whether you have created a nano-genestealer or whether you "just" sculpted up a wh40k scale epic IG dude.

Damn, you got me  }:)

OK, first of all, thanks for the many kind comments :-) Now for a few things... Quote That is really simply amazing. Hard to imagine sculpting in that scale. Well, I can only repeat what I've already said a few times, I believe: The scale does not matter, in my eyes. As long as you know, a) what you...

Hi I'm finally back, after taking a temporary hiatus from sculpting due to rather *cruelling* university work this semester You may or may not recall that some time ago, during the SOB diary thread, I posted a collage of WIP sculpts, which among other pieces included an epic scale Genestealer... Wel...

Quote If they ever came out with Sisters, then I would want to do a full set. Sisters, =I=, and Knights. The full Demon Hunters and Witch Hunters Armies. Then I'd do the Xenos Hunters The puritan faction would have a lot of potential because of the Deathwatch, and a radical would probably be even mo...

Wow, I love the idea of Inquisition warbands in Epic, since they are just perfect for a crazy level of detail... Now I'm thinking maybe I should get back to work on my Deathwatch Marine, as soon as the holidays start and I'm (reasonably) free again to do as I please with my time... Cheers, Drasannar

Hi, The last 1 1/2 months got rather hectic, which didn't get better with the new semester, so I didn't get to spend much time on sculpting Still, in a few hours now and then I managed to gradually  finish one of the WIP pieces I showed you some time ago. I thought some pics might be in order.....

Quote (seekermeng @ 15 2005 Mar.,23:59)I use evergreen plastic products for the most part. ?I have used Plastruct in the past but didn't like it as well. Any particular reason? Is Plastruct by any chance the type that *cannot* be glued using polystyrene cement? (don't ask me were I picked this up, b...
