I hasten to add that my epic bases were the rectangle (40x12mm?) ones, not round ones. I realise lots of people have used the round ones for Epic for a long time... it's just that the rectangles fit in narrover trenches etc, the round ones might require daft looking ones. But it's a minor thing real...

I am curious about the round infantry bases, do the rules make a fuzz about bases in any way? I just ordered me a bunch of Epic bases from Vanguard... Would be shame to waste them if I ever get my hands on the Legions Imperialis starter set, of course it's no longer in stock anywhere... :{[]

Thanks for the tips, gents. My painting has gone through cycles, I started with no primer (lol), then I moved to using white primer, next with LoTR paint articles in WD, I was persuaded to use black primer... then paniting some WWII stuff, I chose grey primer. All the time using the traditional base...

Returing back to painting small scale, and I was wondering what's the best method for me? I recently painted some 10mm medieval stuff using my standard method with grey primer and regular paints, but I think the minis don't really 'pop' like they ought to in this scale... So I am wondering, maybe I ...

I actually went and purchased a couple of the above sets, and printed a test piece for comparison. Here are some quick snapshots. This is the simplest square building of the set with two stories and roof. Managed to split the roof piece in two when removing supports, so it needs some gluing.. The bu...

I guess I'd better re-read my Epic rules, and then download and read the Net versions for comparison... I hate reading pdfs on screen though, so probably better just to print them. :{[] Watched a new youtube video today (yes, I know...) claiming there's strong rumours of Epic relaunch, probably for ...

I am located in Finland, so tournament considerations are probably moot... iin any case, I have never been much of a tournament player, I am more a collector & painter, and only dabble in actual gaming. ;D I usually have to provide both armies to get my mates playing too. So do all the different...

I want to restart Epic, I managed to find my old box with the rules, dice, buildings etc... sadly not much left in the way of miniatures. So in a...
