Just a guess Blindhorizon, but I'd say the red Nids were probably sprayed red before they were based..

According to Ebay Space Marine armies I can pay for with the change lying on my floor. Are they really that plentiful or that bad? The Space Marine "armies" on Ebay usually do not include the "key" elements of a tournament Space Marine army (i.e. Terminators, Warhounds, Thunderh...

Yeah RL has taken a toll on my time for gaming etc. Hopefully things will settle next year and I'll have a bit more time.

Just joking about the other 3k of Nids, I've seen how many projects you've completed over the years. For someone that hates painting so much you certainly get through it :)

Hi Mephiston.

Nice looking Nid army there. Coherent colour scheme and good basing go a long way to make an army look good.

Didn't you say you had about 6k Nids though... ;)

Hi James. From my experience the best Warlord config for 3k games is 2x Quake Cannon, CLP, TCCW. Sits on Blitz objective in cover, shells the board with 4BP MW every turn (often breaking a formation each turn) and with Void shields, 8 FF/CC basic attacks and CC TK attacks from the CCW it is a beast ...

Briefly.. Eldar - weaknesses are generally low armour and numbers. Titans easier to break by BMs (less DC). Eldar generally dont like artillery. Tau - weak in almost all types of engagement, especially CC. Also Tau have no BP weapons, so your formations can bunch up for FF support without fear of th...

Just out of curiosity (its not something that has ever come up in play) if a Marine SC in Terminators (or Assault or Devs) was embarked on a THawk which entered play, but did not disembark the carried troops, would the SC then count as "on the board"?

Purely out of curiousity are devastator marines actually worse than tactical marines in CC in w40k? Or is the CC5+ for EA game balance?

I'll give one of the 50 different answers... :) 1. 2x Warhounds. Very useful for early activations on turn 1. Surprisingly resilient, fast and deadly against light formations. Also a good shout for suppressing/killing enemy flak. 2. Tacs with Supreme Commander. Not everyone takes a SC but I never le...

Interesting stuff. A word of caution on background material. It usually tends to have a bias towards whatever subject material it pertains to. For example, regarding the amount/time of training a Fire Warrior has. It seems a lot to us (generally) civilian gamers. But in the context of the 40k univer...

I am not necessarily in favour of changing the TLD range to 45cm. But... If that turned out to be the best way to balance the llst and all the weapons in it then I do not think that the background would prevent that. The background reasoning/rational can be anything from less powerful reactor/less a...

Sorry Onyx. I read back and found..

This is my problem at the moment - the present Tau list may work well and be balanced, I just don't feel that it truely represents a Tau army as it should be and that has really effected my enjoyment of the army list.

I understand.
