I won't go anywhere now with Warriors that haven't got a Thunderer upgrade, with rhinos of course. I wouldn't want them, the thunderers, and the thunderfires as my BTS though.

Well, my two cents; I think (barring proxying) that Thunderfires aren't exactly cheap, and from a new guy perspective it might be nicer to put something like Hunters in with Warrior detachments. I mean from a fluff perspective we're limited anyhow, and I'd rather convert up one of the zillion Space ...

Can't war engines use either their CC or FF in an engagement? That makes Squat war engines rather less wimpy if Carl quoted that rule proper.

I don't know that just adding thunderers as a stand-alone unit would really satisfy the problem though - given the firepower that unit puts out I can't see taking anything else, even if they are vulnerable to counterfire there'd be a few formations of them at least. Yeah - and two at 3k would lower your activation count, but honestly not by much given the limited potential in 1k of war engines - and I'd gladly have one less activation for two of those land train ensembles.
