Just to confirm, that’s option 2. So make all the hit rolls for the barrage and allocate the hits, then make all the other hit rolls, and allocate hits to units that don’t have a hit yet (or don’t have two hits yet if you get more hits than there are units etc.).

Though I'm sure somewhere in the rules (haven't got them by me right now) it states that the only time a unit loses it's ZoC is when it is B2B with another unit (or units equalling it's starting DC if a WE). It doesn’t stretch per weapon type, other than Macro Weapon hits. EDIT We've always played with stretching happening per weapon type as well. Similarly the cover modifiers are applied per target type. And cover modifiers aren't either. You choose for the entire formation whether you're shooting into...

Have I misunderstood something? When we play a unit can only place hits on units that are in range of the individual unit. Say a SM tactical unit can only place hits on enemy units withing 45 of it, and not on the units further back in the enemy formation that is more than 45cm away from the SM Tac...

Not sure where you're getting the 6 attacks from? It gets +3 Extra Attacks that are TK, and its DC is 3 so halved rounding up is 2. That's 5 attacks, 3 of which are TK. And he's not really equivalent I think we'll have to agree to disagree. The Bloodthirster is faster and hits harder, but has no ranged ability at all and is extremely vulnerable to firefights. They already are the equivalent of Bloodthirsters, and able to save against TK weapons. What Avatar profile are you looking at?

Weapons D-cannon - I find it a little cumbersome with the dual profile, which seems to be to get around the issue with barrage template hit scores being low - hard to be an anti war engine weapon if your AT score is 5+..... I'd either choose one profile or the other as the basis and then modify acc...

Thanks for the reply. It's understandable regarding additional special rules, but there must have been some cutoff point, because all the fan lists in the tournament pack include plenty - tau, necrons, tyranids all have special rules added for example. I'm pretty sure scarik is talking about unit-s...

Because they were just suggestions for non-tournament games.

From memory, they were found to be badly unbalanced when the Fir Iolarian list was being playtested.

Nice! Though I'm unclear; are these a good size to be knighly eloi or more of a scout titan for the eloi? Depends if you're using AT18-size Titans and Knights, or old Epic-size ones. They'd work equally well as old-sized Revenants, or as upscaled Eldar Knights if you're playing against AT18 Imperia...
