QUOTETypo by me, should have changed back to Demi-Century.Ah, okay. Makes more sense. QUOTEYour comments on naming conventions are great ; The 'tech lord' is meant to represent one of the few Lords of any particular Forgeworld (Literally one of the ~10 people who run the whole planet). I just went ...

I can only comment on the background related parts with any certainty, so I have two real points: -In the Titan list, a quattro-century is nine skitarii units. In the Infantry list, a demi-century is nine units. Perhaps a typo? -Oh, and tech-lord is a bit ambiguous. I would have gone for Magos Manda...

Thanks everyone - quick question Blackhorizon; what is missing from the the list that's in the Ships of Mars article? I had a quick look, but nothing caught my eye. I might be missing something, though. I know that at least one more new rank needs to be added (secutor) but I don't know anything abou...

QUOTEI believe that Cataphracts with a c still refered to tanks in dark apostle (the book all these names came from) and Kataphractoi with a K refered to the heavy infanty. I know that when Imade the pig latin names for all my nid units I found a Kataphractoi with a K that meant some sort of ...

Which book is this? I thought Hypaspists were just Skitarii line troopers. And I hadn't heard about Cataphracts (that was how it was spelt in the original article) as being servitors; though they were hard-wired in to their tanks, being drivers. I presume this Magos would be a Magos Mandati, but tha...

If some people think that Knights don't 'fit', then why not just write up the background for Knights again, this time emphasising a more oppressive and dark side of them rather than the 'let's use knights for jousting' side? Don't preclude such things happening, but keep the emphasis of it on the 'd...

Knights may have been removed from the games, but not from the background - at least, the Adeptus Mechanicus Houses Krast and Arokon, were definitely present in the Eye of Terror campaign force disposition chart, providing a total of six households. But I expect they would want to re-imagine them to...

QUOTEYes, Mech ... you are correct. As a CPT I commanded a Mechanized ?Infantry Co. and lead an Air Asslt Plt. as an LT. ?A Company is normally commanded by a CPT ... The organization is loosely based on a Roman Centurion commanding a Century of (amazingly) 100 men. ?And IIRC, in Roman Rank, a Trib...

Just to clarify, but Gav Thorpe has said on a GW forum that: QUOTEIn the original article, the Praetorians were super-tech guard. Later development by other members of the team placed much greater emphasis on combat servitors in the armies of the Ad Mech, and Praetorians were shifted to be bad-ass c...

QUOTEYes, I remember that list in CJ21; just checked, they use Chimeras. ?We use a modified hybrid SM2/CJ21 list ... And all our IG/Tech Grd/Skatari use both Rhinos and Chimeras ... ?The CJ21 list includes Robots too. We have 'bots with our SMs, IG/TG/Skt and Squats - What's SCi-fi without Robots !...

QUOTESimple again! The Ad Mech army. Tech Guard (Rhinos or Chimeras?), Praetorians, Ordinatus Platforms, Excellent Technology, Super Heavy Tanks and Tanks (Hyspapists IIRC) all the other fun stuff. Well, the four types of Skitarii (Five, including the elite Praetorians) are Hypaspists (normal troop...

Quote Where did it say that Skitarii are inferior to the Imperial Guard? I'm sure I read somewhere from a recent source that Skitarii are considered quite superior to the IG due to augmentation. But that's quite aside from Praetorians. Every source I can think of describes them as hulking battle ser...

I have noticed that there are no Emperor class titans in the list; are they out of the list, or are their rules still not decided on?
Thanks in advance! |
