Hmmm, good question. I got:
http://www.starshipmodeler.com/other/vh_athena2.htm
Which reckons you see it a little bit at the end of the film. Can't remember it myself, I'm just a sucker for pretty models, and it certainly seems to match the styling of the Valley Forge. |

The Valley Forge is the same as the Roger Young and the Athena is the same as the Concord. One is the correct name for the setting (as far as I know), the other is what Jeff is calling them so they are not quite so direct a copyright infringement... I havent got an Athena yet (its on its way ), but I do think the Valley Forge looks very good. To be honest, and it possibly sounds daft, it's a model I find myself picking up occasionally and going 'wow this thing is nice'. I really like it, and I think the pics of it do it justice (in fact, the pi... |

Yup, the Valley Forge is one of mine (the picture shows it cunningly placed on my garden table ), thanks. I've recently ordered some more, and I'm hoping to get a full fleet of them together. The only downside is it is a fleet very much based around planetary assaults, which are tricky to game, but ... |

They are very nice ships those. And that is probably one of my better paint jobs if I do say so myself I'm working on some simple conversions for the fighters and drop ships for SST, based on GZG fighters: They aren't perfect, but I think they give the idea. I would strongly recommend people get som... |

It depends on whether you see counter measures able to deal with things to any reasonable degree. There certainly isnt a great deal of historical precedent, except where the defenders tech level is a good deal higher. The whole point is, detection and prevention are an 'opposed' task, which have a c... |

Very interesting, thanks for posting that, there are some very good ideas in there. To be honest, the army and air force would be so dependant on the navy I would suggest they may not exist. The degree of interaction required between the three for any successful operation would make this very useful... |

Very nice CC, thanks for sharing. Great looking board.
I also liked the Air Combat section, that looks like a lot of fun. |

I'd love to comment on AV:T and Starmada (I wouldnt mind trying Leviathan at some point too, as I think the ships look very cool), but I haven't played them yet. I quite agree, just from what I have read about them they both sound like games certainly worth mentioning |

Hmm, I must admit to liking anything with ships in really, from Harpoon to BFG Full Thrust is probably my favourite, although I havent played in about 6 months after growing frustration with the 'fighter/missile balance issues' which plague straighline competitive play. Still good for non-tourney st... |

That is terrible news, I really enjoyed the magazine. Saying that, I think they were letting a lot of things slip over time. Certainly the delay in getting the special miniatures out was pretty poor (there should have been at least 2 more than they got out), and they were behind a by about 4 weeks o... |

I've painted a few of the Space Ships, but I don't have any pics unfortunately. Quite neat little models, and anyone who has played Silent Death may well recognise them... The only other figs I have of theirs are the plastic mechs and some of the plastic gang members and military types you get in th... |

Cheers guys
BlackLegion, don't hold back on my account, I have enough figs to keep me going for a while I'm just holding onto my dream of a full regiment (around 800 tactical bases alone with my numbers, and only 250 done so far...) |

BlackLegion called 'em first, but if any of those Guard sprues are going spare after you have got what you want BlackLegion, I would most certainly be interested. |
