First batch of new minis for Polyversal is done as well.

Work is progressing well on my Bradley minis for Polyversal, and I have absolutely powered through the first batch of Vanguard Salamanders. No one is going to tell you to stop.

Nice job.

Seems I have some painting to do. Three orders all turned up at the same time. Epic stuff from Vanguard, Polyversal stuff from Bradley, and some Vanguard minis I was planning to use with Polyversal, but may end up going into my Minervan force if I end up doing one. https://www.sablewyvern.com/Epic/2...

If you want to try heavy mech marines in 'normal' EA, check out the scoins of iron or skaros lists (should be somewhere in the marines section on here).

Interesting. Thanks for the tip, I will hunt them down.

I really like the heavy mechanised aspect of the EpicAu lists. However, I think I'm probably going to go with Minervan Legion for now. Although, I've made a commitment to myself not to start buying new minis until I've played at least one game of EA and confirmed I actually like it, and I'm not just...

@Sable Wyvern - those Bradley walkers look really good as Dreadnoughts and fit in well with the other minis. The tracked vehicles also. I had a mind to use them as Squad/Demiurg robot walkers, I guess they could function as all kinds of things like that. Pretty much the rest of my force is going to...

My Salamanders are coming along. Hunters, landspeeders and dreadnoughts from Bradley/Alternative armies. The assault cannon dreadnoughts have become multimelta dreads with a simple conversion that turned out pretty well. https://www.sablewyvern.com/Epic/20200627_130621.jpg https://www.sablewyvern.co...

So, with most of my Salamander minis ordered, I've started thinking about what else I want. Minervan Tank Legion is pretty cool, and I think I'd be happy enough with them. However, I'm quite liking the EpicAU Word Bearers, and would definitely enjoy putting together a force. The catch is, I'd mostly...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm also starting to realise that I have a lot options for mixing the list up from game to game to help keep things fresh.

New question. As best I can tell, planetfalling Thunderhawks is of questionable utility -- there are some fringe cases where you might pull off something interesting, but unless the enemy has overwhelming air defence, it's probably not worthwhile. This being the case, and assuming I'm not dropping a...

Thanks for all your thoughts. I will, of course, report back on how things go once some actual battles start happening. :)

Ok, made some changes. Dropped a tactical formation, downgraded the warhound pack to a single warhound, added some scouts, and used the left over points to reinforce some other formations. This is actually looking much closer to what I originally envisaged, but with a lot more activations than my fi...

In reading through old threads in EA and the Marine Development forums, I'm picking up lots of little bits of useful information, which was already pushing me towards making use of scouts, so consider myself now sold. My biggest problem is I can't fit everything I want into 6k. I do find it kind of ...
