I wish I'd paid attention to this forum. This post has a lot of the same changes I've wanted to make. Some of these are the same changes I proposed back before Epic A. Probably because they are originally your ideas. As far as hexifying E:40k, it might be advantageous to have each hex the size of t... |

You might be making this seem more complicated than it is. A super-heavy weapon (except for those that just give extra Firepower) can fire at any time in the detachment's shooting phase; either before or after regular firepower. Each weapon picks it's target and, as you can split fire, the targets d... |

One thing I never liked was how blast marker removal was fixed for all detachments (baring the +1 for extra units) which punished large detachments. So ... Leadership Each detachment will have a Leadership value ranging from 3 to 5. To make a Leadership test, roll a die and a roll equal to or less t... |

Hedgehobbit: What handle you go by on the old E40K mailing list? I was probably using Akkala back then. I was never very active on the list. At the time, I was using the Epic rules to fight WW2 battles since I had a ton of old microarmor stuff back then. By the time I had bought enough Titans off E... |

Ok, so in my dream Saturday night I was playing Orks in 40k (which is weird because I don't actually play Orks) but I was using the Epic:A rules (also wierd because that's no my favorite flavor). Certainly, I'm not the first person to think about doing this. So, has anyone used the E:A rules to play... |

I've been wondering where you guys get those orange plastic blast marker/flame things. I see them in lots of pictures. |

I tried to bid but it won't let me because I don't have a "linked" paypal account. Ignoring the fact that I actually do, why would a seller make that restriction?
I've never sold anything on ebay before. |

Even the Infantry isn't in the same scale. For example Imperial Guard Infantry would only reach the chest of a Space Marine yet in Epic they have the same height. Can someone explain to me at what point Space Marines became super tall? 3e maybe? Did they retcon that to say that Space Marines have a... |

Some dude scanned in one of the old GW catalogs. In the Epic sections are pictures of the weapons for Reaver, Warhound, Gargant, Phantom, etc. The only page missing, which coincidently is the one we need, is the page from the plastic Warlord. I've got that one at home and I'll scan it in shortly. A ... |

I've always been a proponent that the epic Titan models are as big as the titans are supposed to be. It seems that GW agreed with me at one point. Look how tiny this Warlord head is. You can see the controls through the broken eye window. http://i769.photobucket.com/albums/xx339/Hedgehobbit/Titanhea... |

Looks like there isn't a better list anywhere. Guess I'll have to do it myself since there seems to be only 3 people on this planet that actually still play this game. Close Combat Weapons These have always bugged me because of how generic they all were. I don't often use them (unless I have to beca... |

Sort of Knights? http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk51/Elkerlyc/epic%20eldar/EldarKnights.jpg These things are worthless. Just send them to me so I can dispose of them properly. A couple more things ... Overwatch Units on Overwatch can fire in their opponent's movement phase without the re-roll (or column shift). This works just like the Preperatory Barrage and, essentially, replaces it. They can also make oportunity fire on a target whie it is moving if it is trying to dar... |
