I have to admit that is a very well put together display.  It would be a truly massive minieven in Epic scale.

I really like the suggestion that there is some type of warp portal inside.  That would be a very Chaos way of transporting troops.

One of my complaints about the system is the generic view of the units, so I guess anything that helps break that up is a good thing.  Even if it doesn't add anything to the mechanics of the game.

From E:A rule book p. 96

"The Bombard cannon does not boast the kind of range as the more common Earthsharker gun..."

As I don't play 40k the E:A book is the Bible...So it is written, so shall it be done.  Like so many other ways 40k (game) is WRONG.

Wow!  That brings back memories.  The Eagles always were my favourite ships in 1970's sci-fi.  Not that there were a lot of choices mind.  You could even call the "Aquila" transports in a Guard unit.

"Because the Stormtroopers are metal." Really?  Ok, that explains that. Then we come back to the why can other manufactures make a set of minis which furnishes enough troops for almost 2 coy (in metal), and GW is supplying a platoon worth for about twice the price? I don't know I may be chasing m...

Well, I do have to agree that the guys reaction to the quotes from the "Red Book" were rather "emotional" rather then rational, I still have to shake my head at GW partices.  Like everywhere else they seem to be saying one thing, and doing something quite different.   Their prices are my b...

Quote: (old_gamer @ Dec. 15 2009, 21:56 ) I think GW's main problem with epic is that it competes with 40k. If you can put together a large epic army for €100-€200 (ok, maybe you need a little more cash now...), you may decide not to spend the best part of €1000 on a 40k army....

Sorry guys, didn't want to start a panic.  I just wanted to know if anyone else had heard these whispers. What I really don't get about GW is if they really don't want SG under their umbrella then why not sell of the rights.  I mean really it is not a direct competitor to the main 40k line...

Funny, never thought I would be alarmed at seeing something painted pink on the table top battle zone.  Guess I can't say that anymore.

BTW, the paint job... :sign1:
