Declare your Apocalypse being transformed into a Victory (the models are the same), lose str.2 lances for +30cm range -and you?ll never have to worry about a sick range/critical damage relationship. (That?s what I did after thinking about the Apoc?s rules)... |

Nice little sweeties!!! Different and appealing! The dows are very maneuvrable (180? turns), and the looks support this. They also have broadside (l/r) weaponry... |

IIRC, the screamers are Dauntless- to cruiser-sized. The make excellent Tyranid models, as they look like manta rays. + If I?d ever start Tyranid, a few screamers would be among the first models to purchase... |

It has been postponed until spring. Expect a date in March/April for Armada to materialise... (But, at least, it will feature the definitive Tau, Nid and Necron rules which are not to change from then on). I?m still not sure whether it will be worth its price tag as I have got all BFG mags ? ?. |

Personally, I think it?s just the other way round: in smaller (1000-1500 points) games, there isn?t enough firepower available to really bother a battleship with 4 shields, so a battleship is a kind of unassailable fortress that has nothing to fear. In bigger games, battleships can be beaten to dust... |

It?s very rare for Eldar to lock on due to the vulnerability, on the other side there?s the bonus of almost certain hits. So big results can be won for a brave (or stupid) Eldar commander... |

Quote (Chris @ 03 2003 June,18:12)Yep, I got mine today. I liked the Ultramarine stuff but was dissapointed with the "new" Black Crusade fleet. Although I don't play Chaos, it was just a copy of the one in the Rulebook, with the Vengance varients thrown in and the rules for Daemon Ships. As for the ... |

I just built a Chaos equivalent to the Barge. It has the Despoiler prow, a 3-pallet WB broadside and two dorsal lances. I even used two Repulsive keelfins as wings -they look nice and beefy to me. Stat-wise I intended to give it str.12/60cm WB broadsides, a str.4 prow launch bay and str.2/60cm l/f/r... |

There are two "usual" Slaughter configurations: the majority seems to model it with two lance deck pallets per broadside, the minority goes with one weapon pallet and one lance pallet. I prefer the second version for clarity, as I thing the Slaughter looks over-lanced with 2 pallets per broadside...... |

Yes, that?s the modeller?s and collector?s problem. ? Buying stuff for completeness rather than quality ? I?ve kept myself from the Voss prow ships like the Falchoin and from the Vengeance variants. They are interesting ships and models, but I find them too ugly... (But I have to get some Forgeworld... |

The Apocalypse is a strange ship. The 6 lances look poromising, but the 30 cm range make it just a big Gothic. Lances work best at long ranges as they pour out a constant stream of damage unaffected by range and facings. And don't bother expanding the Apocalypse?s lances? range , the automatic criti... |

I really couldn?t decide between Imperials and Chaos, so I gathered about 9000 points of each (and I have neither a Planet Killer / Blackstone nor a Ramillies Starfort...) |
