I go to the plumbing aisle of my favorite hardware store for some PVC, copper fittings, and hanger iron strips. Then check out aisle 7 for electrical bitz. Scoot ovar to the drawer pulls and watch for the mark-down cart. Some beads,tubing, and a plunge into the grubbins bin in my workshop. Make some... |

I may be off-base, home-brew terrain, buildings, and game surfaces can be fun too.
Sorta like to buy figs and books and stuff myself. I try to keep some scrounged materials (by the tub and shelf full) just in case I get the itch to scratch-build terrain.

The core WHAB book has a fairly extensive set of choices: Ancient Greek, Achaemenid Persians, Nomadic Hordes, Chinese, Samurai, Arabs & Saracens and Crusaders, plus some appendixes for the original Roman and Barbarian army lists.
