Ah, I think I mis-read you Kealios. Sorry. Dice conversion. I looked at it, in a spread-sheet, and [D4 ... D12] is the same as a D6 / [2+ ... 6(+)]. Ie D4 vs D12 is a 6, D12 vs D4 is a 2+ etc. And it ended up surprisingly close. That's the sentiment I'm exploring zap123. I'm trying to find out what ... |

Yes, DS2 use [D4 ... D12] vs [D4 ... D12] instead of D6 ±[1 ... 6] vs N+. But damage is dealt with chits drawn from a cup. I didn't fancy Wardogs at all, what little I've seen. But again then Starmada is splendid! What really put me off is the lack of TO&E in FWC. But if each unit is a platoon I... |

Thanks Kealios; Future War Commander is worth a "read" for the pictures (Oh no mum, I read it because of the articles!) alone I'd say. Seeds of War seem to have done to E40k what E40k should've done and E:A tried to do. (E:A suffer from the same problem as Flames of War, ie you know exactl... |

So if with more flavour and keeping unit activation and suppression (ie BM's) there's a general feeling it would work and be enjoyable?
lord bruno ~ Where's that "designed to represent huge battles" come from? With so much low-level TO&E I would say it's the opposite? |

Fellas, TacCom down and a spell, a long spell, to get to really read up on E40k. Hm... These rules are good. Why where they so bedevilled? I can see a few cases, Warhead showed some to (but please repeat them here!), but what the rest of us think? To me they seem far more clear-cut than the current ... |
