I got some Squats too (just one box, some Gyrocopters and a cannon thing). I'm struggling with the same problem - how to mix the figures on the bases. I decided to put 4 figs on each base instead of 5. Then it feels less odd to put just 4 heavies on a stand. Then I put 3 bike sized things on larger ...

So PMs are the way to do this? Notes: A. - I'll leave this thread here for a day or so, so I can get what I want out of the trades. However: B. - I will trade purchase value for value, but old 92-97 prices (when blisters were around ?3-5 and had a few figs). I know prices changed a bit back then too...

Do Not Want (What I have) Pics of everything here. Chaos - 4 Trolls. - 8 Minotaurs. - 20 Beastmen (Got 20 more still on sprues). - Death Dealer, top painted. - Nurglings (came in some fantasy blister I think, I used a few for daemon stands). - Tzeentch guy, pretty crisp but with a thin paint layer. ...

Progress report on greenstuff 'casting' in a greenstuff mold: Not so much progress. There's a potential for fine details, and it could be a useful method for replicating rare stuff, such as your own masters. I wouldn't use it for mass production though. Attempt 1: I was too eager and touched both th...

That's E.A. though? From what I understand it was based on E.40K, which was way to abstract for me. Like "Place 250 Ork Unitz (abstract for any unit) on the table and roll a dice, on 1,2 or 3 you win (this roll represents the battle). P.S. buy more miniatures". I'll look what the net-epic rules say ...

I lost my Space Marine booklets ages ago (permanently borrowed by friends friend) (also lost a Slasher Gargant), but I remember that there was an Ork clan which used imperial vehicles and such. Looking through my stuff I wonder if I could consolidate the stuff into one army. Namely a BloodAxe+Imperi...

I managed to cast some greenstuff in greenstuff molds, with pretty good edges too. Might post results later.
Here's something I've been working on. Will try to give Space Orks and Squats a treatment too. Art and redesigns |

Thanks! It's difficult to cast epic sized figs in resin apparently, but if the Forge World guys are using it they seem to do it pretty well. Didn't get much done. Boring color scheme on the marine, but slightly novel dotted shoulder pads (.::.). Putting texture on flat surfaces can be really fun. I'...

I actually have some silicone stuff in my closet since a decade ago when "the 40k gang" wasn't scattered by the winds yet. I can't quite recall how it worked though, but it was 2 component and there's a Vaseline tube there too... I think it was used for separation. Is it possible to cast master copi...

These are just 2mm and the slots go down one, so a 1mm magnet might not work. Here's the first 32mm base tests. Since these have no slots I can rotate them. I'm using Q-tip and liquid veg-oil now. From what I can tell the oil goes into the clay after a while. Doesn't cause any problems when painting...

Magnets? For storing stands on a strip? I don't think a magnet will fit into these because of the indented base slots, but a magnetic film or something on the bottom might work. Experimenting on the failed first batch. I discovered that I could use a fine sandpaper on the sides (to get off the exces...

Bases from batch 1. Since the clay isn't waterproof it's possible to wet a finger and run around the base to smooth it up. Unfortunately most of the batch 1 bases had a pretty rough edge, but you can see one with a nice sharp edge. Maybe the second batch will look something like that. Also, when the...

Thanks. Will check that out. This is a pretty fast process though, but I'm not sure how fast/easy resin is (until I've read that link). Second batch. Lessons learned: The new sharp edge on the mold helped to make the excess clay separate easier. On the first batch the excess ring was pretty thick an...

Yeah, a lot of stuff can be made with imprints. Somewhat freaky, I found a film-jar lid in my bitsbox when I went to fetch a knife. It had sloped edges and the right depth, if padded with something (I did a sloppy greenstuff job). I painted up one of my earlier failed bases (had to pull the clay out...

Hi! I found my old epic stuff which I haven't touched much in the last decade. So, I started looking around the net to see what was the latest. Hmm, it seems Epic is no longer supported. Then I found NetEpic and this place. Anyways. I soon started to experiment with custom bases for Epic. I'm not qu...
