You should actually go down to a local store and try them out - they are quite good. And if you check out the comparison chart on the GW website, you'll notice that most colours still exist. The paint itself has changed, not the shade. Thus, new name. It's better than calling it Goblin Green for 25 ...

Thanks for all the comments! L4 is right, it usually only takes about 24hrs for Simple Green to strip most models. However, I've found that if you leave it for a few days, you have to work less at scrubbing off the figs. I've also found that if you do it in two waves its a lot easier. Dunk them for ...

Threadromancy! I have been lurking since my last posts, but I had to share what I worked on this morning. I got dared to do it after musing out loud to a friend. 13 stands down, somewhere in the vicinity of 36+ more to go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v153/Jhaelrnya/Epic/IMG_3687.jpg http://img...

GW Black and White primer are the only ones I've ever had any success with. Everything else gums up and ruins the models, or flakes off. I've never had any luck with anything else. It may cost more, but it works.

Holy cow! Those are amazing! I really love the freehand you added. Not to mention, that Cassius is beautiful too. Can't wait to see the transport finished!

I used a drill to sink a magnet into mine, and super glued a magnet to the top of the provided flight stand. I put the flight stand into a 60mm raised base (dreadnaught) and based to match the army. It's really durable, easy to store / transport, and looks good imo.

So I've spent the last week cleaning up the models - seems I have an odd number of a couple things, like only two Whirlwinds and nine Predators. And two spare Rhinos. Going to have to figure out what I am going to use those for. Anyways, I've got some work done on a Devastator formation, including f...

Oddly, had a DnD group that all managed to get sucked into the cube except the last person, who said they liked their character too much. Everyone else had tried to get the first person out by pulling on his arm . . .

And thanks!

Jhaelrnya Very nice indeed. What process are you using to get that yellow looking the way it does? I assume you mean on the Eldar, as for the Wolves it is just Golden Yellow over Iyanden Darksun. The Eldar start off with a full basecoat of Iyanden Darksun, which is then washed with watered down Dev...

Thanks for the complements! @Zombie Jay - the FW Thunderhawk is MASSIVE compared to the current GW one. Although more expensive, it's much more detailed and realistic (if you can use that word when describing a Sci Fi game). It's about the size of the metal Lander. Here's some more Wolves! I settled...

Thanks! The Cobras are my favourite from that army as well. I need to finish the other 4 I have, and the 3 Scorpions. I spent some extra time on them since there are so many flat spaces, and added extra highlights compared to anything other than the half finished Vampire (which incidentally I can't ...

I used it for some FoW models, and definitely had to cover it with sand. It's fairly porous, but once it was primed / sanded it didn't soak up a ton of paint.

Space Marines! I love Space Wolves, and as such had to paint my marines like the Sons of Russ. Currently, I'm working on a formation of Terms, Tactical Marines, and Assault Marines. I'm also not sold on a basing scheme yet and am trying a few different ones out. I'm also experimenting with some cycl...
