That's really a wonderful work.
Can you tell us how you made the road? I'm trying to make something good enough as bitumen, but the results aren't great. I would like to obtain something like you did, if it is possible to know. |

Greetings, everyone ! It seems like the dark eldar topic has disappeared from the new forum. Since I'm one fan of them and still building an army of those for Epic Armaggedon, I was wondering if there are still people here working on the army list ? Unless this army has been left alone once and for ... |

Another solution for the drones is just making them available as a separate formation with no special rules for them (other than the jet pack, I mean). Those who "protect" the other Tau units would just be included in the profile of the last ones. I mean, in Epic scale, one or two drones with some F... |

Quote: (The_Real_Chris @ 09 Sep. 2008, 10:28 ) Would buying demons for a particular formation remove all those problems? It would be indeed simpler that way - making daemon summoning a formation upgrade rather than a separate choice in the army list. Call it "daemonic pact" and set a number of ... |

Black Legion's idea is kinda what I had in mind for quite a long time. I think it would be much simpler that way and would require far less special rules than before - which is, to me, a very good thing. I would tend to remove the "disposable" rule from daemons that way. After all, in the fluff, Cha... |

I like this idea as well, but I believe that daemons should be turned into an option for formations rather than a "pool" from where you can pick them off. It's even more simpler for the rules that way. Would love to make the summoning automatic rather than using another dice. There's already enough ... |

Well, I think this army list is a very bad idea to begin with before fixing the daemons in the Chaos list. It's the same than making renegade legions with cultists marines while the "main" list isn't fixed. |

(nealhunt @ May 27 2008,16:03)QUOTEI pulled the AA out separately in my comparison. It doesn't work anything like other ranged fire, so trying to lump it in doesn't make sense. As pointed out, in a Chosen formation the AA is simply a token ability. If you remove their AA ability, true, ... |

(Lord Inquisitor @ May 23 2008,20:49)QUOTEWell, at the simplest level, 1 heavy weapon = 1 shot. A unit of three obliterators should have three shots. Three obliterators that morph three lascannon should get three AT5+ shots... which is exactly what they have. Yes, but then the Dark Reapers who all ... |

(Lord Inquisitor @ May 23 2008,19:23)QUOTEMagarch, I agree about most of your points, but these are not for the current minimal tournament changes. Removing the AA, for example, would leave a gap in the list and force players to take aircraft. I think if you take away their AA, 3 shots is okay. Yes... |

I must say the multi part Space Marine caught my eyes first. 'bout the size of the Daemon Prince, it seems good enough. I always pictured them the size of a Dreadnought, Carnifex or Brood Lord. I must say I always believed they should be Heavy Vehicles rather than Infantry in game terms. |

'bout Obliterators ; - FF 3+ is enough. 2+ is just crazy. - Remove their AA once and for all. Obliterators sniping aircraft is just plain stupid for background. - Two shots are enough ; they already have a longer range and a better AT shot, after all. - Make their CC attacks MW (but without EA) to m... |

About the "specially created" units for the army list (instead of saying "fan made", since you don't like that term), I don't really understand you. You're saying it's impossible to remove them because they are here for so long, but you don't have to...Just make a collector section like for the "old... |

What bothers me the most in this list are three things ; - Too many units, some being "fan made" while not really needed (Moray, Scorpionfish...It's not because it's Epic the Tau need those to "feel" Epic). Wouldn't hurt if the number was "simplified" (by making a single profile for some simil... |
