First of all I wanted to thank BH for organizing the competition Regarding the rules I have a few questions: (blackhorizon @ May 01 2008,09:33)QUOTEYou can upload 153600 bytes on here. That's enough for a 640x480 upload as far as I know. Also, with an upload here we won't suffer from a hyperl... |

I've been busy the last months so I haven't finished my tau fleet yet. I'll try to finish it in order to submit the Custodian. Meanwhile I will submit the ones I have already painted.
First of all the two Emissaries:

I hadn't have much time lately to spend on my Tau fleet, but I have made some advances. I've started painting the Custodian, but main advance is I've started making and painting my own Barracudas (I liked the markers I've done before but I wanted something more and Forge World's ones are too expensi... |

No, I don't like SG Tau models at all, so just FW models. In fact after finishing painting these 1500 points I think I won't expand the fleet (Except for maybe a station or some kind of Tau "scenery"). |

It doesn't have to be worse at all, the problem is I tend to do it the hardest way...
Anyways I think I will choose Flesh Wash instead of chestnut (Or even a mixture of yellow and flesh washes) as chestnut tends to a bit more reddish than gold should be. |

Thanks for your comments, I'm glad you like them. (vanvlak @ Nov. 30 2007,08:15)QUOTEHow do you manage that gold leaf effect, is what I'd like to know. Stunning I will try to explain it: 1) Paint the metal area in black 2) Base coat with a mixture of Shinning Gold and Flesh Wash, this way the... |

It's been a lot of time since last entry (And even more since last painting update), I've been quite busy and also a bit lazy, but at last I've painted the Emissaries:

As I said in the other battle report topic, thanks for posting it. Just a pitty the pictures are so blurry, as the whole fleets and scenery look awesome. |

Battle reports are always welcome, I really like to read them (And even better if they come with some pictures as yours). The only objection is I wish it had more detailed explanations, anyways great battle report, thanks for posting it. |

Not a painting update this time, I've almost painted an Emmissary but I want to paint both completely before posting them. Anyways I got today the blast markers I ordered and I took some pictures: The picture isn't too good as the flash has "eaten" most of the colors but you can see how the markers ... |

The bridge is under the prow (Once I finish painting the bottom of the protector I'll post pics), I didn't like the way it looked in the original model so I just changed it. Regarding the Ion cannons... In fact I don't know which weapons are represented in the model, but I'm afraid I removed most of... |

Another week, another entry in my blog... This time I've almost finished one of the Protectors and I took one picture of the ships I've painted so far (Or at least that seem to be painted) over the space mat.

I must say I don't like GW Tau ships at all, anyways I like the scheme you've chosen and the way you've painted it (It looks like it have been for years in space). The only problem I found is the ship seems to be bent, other than that it looks quite good even despite the fact I don't like those GW s... |
