Hi All

This has probably been discussed before at some point, but I didn't want to resurrect any long dead threads, so I thought I'd start a new one.

So, I've recently acquired a decent sized Space Marine army. A bit short on vehicles at the moment, but lots of footsloggers.
The first lot is currently soaking in Simple Green. Once they are stripped, I intend to paint them up as Crusade/Heresy era Death Guard. So naturally I was wondering if there happen to be any army lists for this period floating around. I just get this really strong 30k vibe from NetEpic, and was quite surprised that there isn't some sort of Crusade/Heresy supplement already... or I simply haven't found it, yet ;)

After doing some initial research, I discovered that the Death Guard used to field larger than standard infantry companies and fewer vehicles. I figured that I could just add some extra infantry support cards to my battle companies (maybe even without Rhinos) to represent this, but if anyone has any other ideas, or knows of any alternative army lists, I would love to hear about them.

I'm also hoping to do a few conversions to represent some of the awesome Legion vehicles from Forgeworld, especially some of the Land Raider variants (I must have a Cerberus, and a Sicaran could probably be converted fairly easily using the Epic40K style LRs). Sure, I could play them as count as LRs, but having actual rules for those variants would be even more fun.
Any chance some of those might get included in the next (platinum?) version of the NetEpic rules?

Would love to know what you all think. :)

Hi!

This has been discussed and I believe we will try to do this for the Platinum version of net epic.

Since we are doing a standard formula and army lists for it, it would be easy to introduce Heresy era formations into the mix.

Also its Platinum's philosophy to include all types of available models at either scale,\since in the 3d printing era amost anything can (and will) be made.

With the points buy system for creating units and formations currently under development you will be able to stat up your own models and make formations (Company, Special, Support) in any sizes you want.

See the Alternate Rules sub-forum for more details. Feel free to add opinions.

I look forward to seeing them on the table dude. Death Guard vs my Ultra Marines should make for some good 30k era games.

I think we are planning on working out the modern era armies first, after that, with pretty much everything listed and pointed, it shouldn't take much work to build heresy era army lists, I guess there might be a slight variation in the troops, but again, should be easily worked out.

As a note of history, the original Space Maine game (1st Ed Epic) was meant to represent the heresy conflict and the battles between fellow space marines:

Hi!

Agreed. Once the points formula is finalize it should be easy to make whatever formation are desired for which ever era people like to play in.
