heres my first epic 3000 point army, was not too bad to paint up. i tried a glow effect on the librarian and the guns on the land speeders which did not really work out the way i invisaged - that happens alot , will try it again on something else down the line.
definitley a sense of satisfaction getting them finished - a full army in no time at all. even did some custom models razorbacks and hunter - or the razorbackesque and hunteresque using battlefleet gothic guns, will do the job until the shapeways order comes through with nice guns/aa/launchers and ill make decent ones then.

had to finish some 15mm flames of war stuff now i am back on epic, we are planning a day long 20k points game. i am painting up two different marine armies and a titan legion, the marines in the pic above i am expanding, more marine squads more predators, bikes, land raiders. all are base coated green to start with.

the titans i have added more minis - 10 robots, 5 sentinels plus i have infantry for inside the imperator.

the final army will be my pre heresy world eaters base coated white.


the painting i have actually started is the titans did a test knight titan and a robot, started the other knights starting small and working my way up to the bigger titans.

have built up alternate terrain / buildings also thats a wip.

ive got some left over Japanese flags from bolt action I will use, will call them the rising sun/ blazing arse etc etc titan legion

heres the test model, I used too much anti-shine on them which actually makes the model glossy/shiney!, I have a bunch more to paint they should start looking better as I get through them.

Since you've got a bit of a feudal Japan thing happening I'd suggest some sashimono and some insignia on those knights to differentiate them and to add to the unifying theme.
