OK, let's try this a second time. My first attempt to answer went into the void???
This was one of the last books I read in the post Movie Fiction drive.
I liked it. It was dark in some places, but it kept the overall feel of the characters, I felt.
If you are thinking of reading it, do so.

Yes, a while ago.
Its good fun, interesting to read as it was written before Empire and the other sequels were on the scene, so it has some aspects that may seem a little strange having watched them...
Excellent classic style Starwars though, maybe showing a direction the films could have gone in if it had been developed further?
