The new Batman movie has a new Batmobile.

This picture shows the Batmobile in its army colours before it is painted black.
Very futuristic looking and very SF.

Yeah, Batman Begins. Supposed to be darker than the previous few movies, which all sucked. Except for the first one.

OMG, that's so uncool...
Come on, I know we had some pretty weird concepts back in the days (cadillac one made me laugh especially), but this... is IS techy, but it has NO style!

Looks a bit like origami gone terribly wrong...
5th: No the Cadillac Batmobile rocks! I saw that old batman movie a couple of months ago. I almost choked from laughing
I hope the new Batman movie will be cool but I doubt it. The first two directed by Tim Burton remains the best IMO.

Maybe it's just me, but that car looks very un-Batman-like. I agree, paint it red and you have a cool Ork dragsta.
Like everyone else, I hope this new movie will be good, but I have a feeling...

I think it will be good. At the very least, it will be dark and non-campy. I'm looking forward to a "realistic" treatment of Batman and his technology and I like the military look for the Batmobile.
It also appears to have impressive cinematography. The vistas in the trailers have been fabulous. I actually want to go see it on the Imax screen based on what I've seen.

Yes, I saw the previews and Batman gets all kinds of hi-tech military stuff, like body armor IIRC ... I, like Neal, will look forward to the new treatment of Batman. However, being long in the tooth on this forum, the first Batman came closest to the original ... (What (!), no Bat Icon !?!?!)

I think it depends on what you want from Batman.
Some people want a comic-style gothic fantasy Batman as in the first few movies.
Some people would prefer to see a more *realistic* Batman with equipment which could be *real*.

The "Dark Knight", a forboding avenger, works for me ... But, I'm "old school" !

It's got Scarecrow in it. I'm happy. Jeff Goldblum would have made an incredible Scarecrow, but Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) will do very nicely.
First Batman was ace, second was good, 3rd and 4th were rancid piles of fine chopped 10-days-in-hot-sun mystery meat. What the hell happend to Bane between the comic and the book...

Make Batman too realistic and I will laugh my ass in the cinema at the whole concept of "batman" and "realistic" being part of the same sentence. If you want "a bunch of fancy dudes bdoing kewl stuff against great odds" watch a SAS or LRDG movie. Batman IS fantasy, and I expect him to keep his coolness over any realism. For me, that includes using an impossible car with the aerodynamics of your average construction brick to chase after ultra-fast enemies making impossibly sharp turns and other things like that.
I also missed the bat-sign in the previous movies. Even if it forced Gotham city to be permanently clouded (gonna hate having criminals around on a clear sky) it WAS extra-cool
Regards,
Xavi
PS: whatever I expect, I know I will be dissapointed. It is one of the great things of being a pessimist. You are always right
