Panzer Marsch has some very interesting ideas (like the radio net, for example) but there's one thing I find queer. Namely, tanks have an average ammo capacity of 5 or 6.  ??? I don't know WHAT is the basis for such model as most tanks had some 30 to 50 rounds of ammunition. Do they imply that only every fifth or sixth round fired had a chance of hitting at all?  :o  :oo

EDIT: oh, and the Finnish OOB in PM has a small error: Finns did not have any StuG IIIFs; only IIIGs.  :)

About Blitzkrieg Commander; I ordered the rules last Wednesday. On Thursday Pete confirmed my order and said he'd ship a copy that day. Today (Monday) morning I had it in my mailbox.  To say I'm impressed by his customer service is an understatement.  :O

And then to the hits&wounds system. having read his designers notes I can now better understand his reasoning and any differences of opinion I might have are down to personal preferences. I will give the system a try no matter what my prejudices may be.  :;):

Hi,

My order of Pendraken minis came through today, so I shall be putting my Orks to one side for a few days to paint up some of these. I'm impressed with the castings and the sheer volume of stuff I got for so little.

Took a snap of some of what arrived this afternoon.

Size comparison

EDIT: Forgot to say, the Crusader tank fits perfectly onto a Warmaster base, so I will probably base the infantry the same way.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

I was really impressed with his customer service too, very, very quick delivery :D
Having scanned through the rules at the weekend (about the only thing I managed to do :( ) I am looking forward to giving it a go, playing against myself as usual, will have to talk some people into giving me a game.
So, now to Pendraken......

Hmm - so if you use 10 or 15mm scale orks, your Epic Orks could be used as Gretchin....hmmm.....

Hi,

Got the clippers and the glue out and managed to get all of the new arrivals organised this afternoon.

It's taken from a pre-written list on the BKC website, so it should work quite well. It's just missing two trucks to pull the Anti Tank guns to get to 1000 points, but I can easily use proxies if needed (I'm sure they had Chimeras in the 8th Army! :D ).

I realy like the Vickers MGs. It's a shame that they aren't in 6mm, because they'd make good IG Fire Support units.

These will probably be next onto my painting desk, so I'll post more pics when the first few are done.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Looks great Freshmetal, nice little start up army :D
I was a bit disappointed to find that they only do 10mm (Pendraken that is) as I've already got a few 6mm figs (German and Brits) and wanted to augment them (and start some Russkies), well it's back to GHQ I guess. Speaking of which, apparently they are having trouble importing from the States at the min, strange.

GHQ seem to have a few problems distributing stuff. As far as I can work out, in the UK the main retailer orders only a couple of times a year. Have a look at Heroics and Ross. I found them to be an excellent alternative.
