Hehe, thanks. Unfortunately no Epic but a few E-bay purchases with Wargame Insomniac acting as a middle man should compensate for that :D
The sad thing about getting older is that people buy you lots of "adult" presents. I got a few shirts, a lamp, a lens cleaning kit for my camera and some money. Even got a silk tie! ...well it's a prety cool one, honestly... In the entertainement department (woohoo -you never get THAT old) I got Trainspotting and the first season of Twin Peaks on DVD -Gotta love David Lynch!
I think some of the money will be spent on KOTOR2, the Sith Lords. The first game was awsome so I expect days of fun in front of the PC with the sequel.
However I must say that  my best present came yesterday when the mailman brought me a recent E-bay purchase: a near mint copy of Epic Space Marine Battles and Rogue Trader. Great reading though some of the fluff doesn't correspont with present canon but those new inventions are a load of b......s IMO. Tau: who needs them :D  *ducks for cover*

Finished the day by taking the GF out to dinner. Barbecued lobster followed by beef tenderloin. Expensive but definitely one of the best meals I've had in years! :cool:

All in all a very nice day. Tomorrow I only have to deliver a project description of an exams project I've got to finish in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully there should be time to work on a bit of Epic... :;):

Aww no! i'm late! Belated happy birthday Warmaster, and creator of a thousand magnificent armies and conversions! Sounds like its been a good one, which is good.

Ah yes, I've been there several years now, and I get the occasional tank model from my mother, vouchers for use in model shops from in-laws, Forgeworld or GW stuff from the wife... terrible...:p

Hi,

Happy Birthday Warmaster Nice, glad to hear you had a good one. Since people pointed out the "New Posts" button at the top of the page, I rarely venture to the depths of the epicomms page to see whose b/day it is. Glad others are more on the ball than me. :D

Shirts, ties and money eh... That reminds me of my past few birthdays, just need a load of gift vouchers for places you never go and it'd be spookily similar. :D

The way I look at it, with the GF etc buying such presents, I rarely have to worry about going clothes shopping myself, so I have more time for important epic shopping...  :;):
