Is there any way, through your own profile, to change the default setting on Messenger so it doesn't automatically save a copy of each message you send?

I know you can do it manually, but I generally forget, and wouldn't want a message to bounce because I'd forgotten to clear out my Sent Messages folder.

Good question. I dont think that it is possible and I think that sent messages are automatically saved. If anyone can correct me on this, please feel free. The only thing that you can do is to uncheck the box which states that the message will be added to your sent folder.

Yeah, I think thats the only way.
It's quite easy to notice when the messenger is full, because the little icon next to "Your messenger" on the top right flashes red if I recall correctly... :;):

I always uncheck the box and periodically clean out my E-mail folders.
