Hi all,
just to console you people, here's my idea of horrendous over-bidding - and I'm the winner... I guess I live on a different scale :;):

My precious!

Ok, I'd been after this one Custodian for ages, and now it seems like my life's work is complete... sigh; I've even got 5 Thunderbricks and a load of Squat troops from the same guy - he's a great seller, very friendly and professional - and his packaging is to die for! ?:D

Oh - I forgot to say that some of the poor old Squats are painted pink - with blue helmets, and black and yellow heavy weapons, They look like bearded babies in romper suits with huge bumble bees on the shoulders of some.  :{ i'll have to do something about these horrors...

You'd better. I, as the resident Squat Overlord, order you to end this disgrace. Or the book of Grudges will have another entry...  :p

I AM THE SQUAT GUY!!!

Speaking of grudges, I think I'm not going to be liked, as I appropriate some trikes for Sisters use, not to mention a few other odds and ends. However, to appease the Great Overlord, the surviving troops could find their way to his great army.  :D

Actually, no, you live on the same scale because that IS horrendous overbidding for such a c**p mini :p

Hah - and I'm even having to hold the poor guys. Poor things. But the custodian is a nice model, so I'm going to sulk. It's even cute! ?:p

EDIT - I finally arrived home and counted the Squats - there's 1 Exo armour stand; 5 Hearthguard stands; 7 Thunderers; 17 Berserkers; and (gulp!) 63 warrior stands! Oh, and a Commissar - nice touch from the old days...

Sounds like a lot of Warrior Stands.

Have fun with them!

Just to add to the eBay debate.

My strategy is to bid the maximum amount I am willing to pay and then leave it well alone.

True I have not won an auction for some years now...

Hi all,
I generally use the Jimbo method, but have on occasion waited for the last-minute fling; and with my last two bids I've been lucky to find two interesting auctions in the last hour, bidding and winning.
All in all, since last October I've managed to win 8 auctions - smallish ones, generally, but providing a useful reinforcement. All Epic bar one, incidentally, and that was BFG.
Cheers. :D

I'm generally using the Jimbo method too, picking up the odd piece here and there, my biggest difficulty is finding that most have already been bid on by one of you guys :D, if I recognise the name I don't bid.
