I was going through the FP mags and came across Pete Haines article about his force and i read that he would only use forces that could be dropped. i know you can drop a dread and troops but i never came across anyone dropping a land speeder. If not, how do you transport Lnd spdrs down to the battlefield?

Land Speedres can be used in a all drop army. I think the idea is they are released in low orbit and fly down to the planet.

They can. They are released low orbit as said or (more common) they are deployed with their own special drop pods in the same way as dreadnoughts. It has been in the background stories since 40k second edition IIRC. No idea about epic since I am a newie here, heh.

LOL! I believe that Land Speeders were supposed to have an option to be carried by T-hawks or Landing craft but it was left out of the rules by mistake. Cheers!

Sudden modelling inspiration:
Has anyone evere modelled a drop pod with its cargo of troopers and Dreadnoughts bursting forth to bring death to His enemies?

The LR's are mounted sideways but it will only carry 4. Tas: Great Idea. Someone should do that and submit it to the painting comp.
Cheers!

From the original rules, Land Speeders could be deployed from Dropships.
